NARRATIVE REPORT ON SCHOOL IN-SERVICE TRAINING FOR

TEACHERS AND RPMS AND MID-YEAR REVIEW AND EVALUATION
OF TEACHERS FOR SY.2021-2022

I. Introduction

This year’s mid-year break is an opportunity for teachers and educational

leaders to widen their knowledge on technology as they participate in the In-Service
Training (INSET) initiative offered by the school thru the Department of Education
(DepEd) Development Program. This year’s mid-year INSET at SLRES is focused
on the 21st Century Sklls and Methodologies needed to enhance and update the
technical know-how of teachers. Also, a mid-year review of the Teachers’ IPCRF and
Portfolio Assessment to make adjustments and interventions. It is also noted that our
teachers now are willing to embrace technology as the demands of their profession
amidst these difficult times. This kind of support from our teachers motivates us
further to push for policies and programs on educators’ upskilling and welfare. The
need for in-service training in schools is getting more attention for teachers to equip
with new knowledge and skills for them to face new challenges and reformation in
education. It can enhance the professionalism of teachers who can contribute to the
school to achieve it’s goals. It consists of professional and personal educational
activity for teachers to improve their efficiency, ability, knowledge and motivation in
their professional work. It also offers one of the most promising roads to the
improvement of instruction and enable teachers to acquire new understanding and
instructional skills.
