1.Security(read firstly)

Firstly,thank you for choose our company’s DSP compensation AV voltage

regulator.

This manual provides users with precautions for installing, using, and

maintaining this product. To ensure proper installation and operation of this

product, please read this manual before installation and use. If you have any

questions, please contact us. Our professionals are happy to serve you.

The following are safety items that customers need to pay special attention

to to ensure your safety and to protect the safety of products and connected

equipment. These precautions are highlighted in this manual with a warning

triangle and are indicated below according to the hazard level:

Dangerous:
(1) Be sure to switch off the input power before implementing the connection or

related operations, otherwise it may cause electric shock or product damage.

(2) After the product is powered on, do not open the chassis and touch any live

parts.

(3) Be sure to set a disconnect switch at the front end (input) of this product

to ensure safety.

Warning:
① Only qualified technicians are allowed to install, operate and maintain this

product;

② When installing and wiring the product, please be sure to connect according

to the terminal identification and the product manual. Do not reverse the input

and output; do not reverse the neutral line and the phase line.

③ Please match the load according to the rated capacity of this product. If there

is continuous operation for a long time or there is impact load or non-linear load

and harmonics, please leave a power margin and do not overload.

④ This product can only be used in the environmental environment approved by this

manual. Unauthorized use environment may cause accidents such as fire and electric

leakage.

⑤. When the phase sequence of the power supply will affect the load (for example,

the motor will be reversed running), before starting up, please make sure the

phase sequence of the power supply is correct, so as not to cause the load to work

abnormally which may lead to equipment damage and personal accidents.

Cautions:

1.1. Please read this manual carefully when installing, operating and maintaining

this product;

1.2. please prevent unrelated personnel from operating this product;

1.3. Do not place any objects on the top of the product. Do not allow conductive

objects to enter from the fan holes, ventilation holes, and door covers.Failure

to do so may cause malfunction, electric leakage, or even fire.

1.4. There must be sufficient ventilation space around and the top of the product

for easy maintenance and maintenance.

1.5. Please properly ground the product during installation; please do not

disassemble and modify the product without authorization, otherwise it will cause

malfunction, electric leakage and even fire.

1.6. product and product manuals may be subject to change without notice;

1.7. The right to interpret this manual belongs to the development department of

this manual. Any modification to this manual must be approved by the development

department of this manual.

1.8. When the product is scrapped, please dispose of it as industrial waste.

2.Requirement of environment

2.1. When the product is operated, its environmental requirements are below:

A, no water droplets, steam nor oily dust;

B, no corrosion, flammable, explosive gas, liquid;

C, no floating dust Egyptian metal particles;

D, solid and vibration-free foundation;

E, the altitude does not exceed 1000M; when it is higher than 1000M, it must be

derated;

F.well ventilation;

G. environmental conditions: Max. temperature: +40 ℃ ,Max daily average

temperature: ≤ +30℃;

Max annual average temperature: ≤ +25 ℃, Min. temperature: 0 ℃

Temperature change rate of working environment: ≤5K/h ,

15% ≤humidity: ≤90% (at 20 °C)

Relative humidity change rate: ≤ 5%, Non-condensation does

H. the relative harmonic content of the AC voltage waveform should not exceed 10%;

I. The three-phase voltage unbalance should be less than 5%.

Cautions:
This product can only be used in applications approved in this manual.

Unauthorized use of the environment may result in fire, electric leakage and other

accidents. If customers have special requirements for use environment, please

consult with the company before ordering.

2.2.Stock requirement:

The product shall not be exposed to the sun or rain. It should be stored

in the air circulation, the ambient temperature is in the range of -40 ℃~ +55 ℃,

The humidity is less than 90% (at 20 ℃) and in the warehouse without corrosive

gases.

2.3. Transportation requirement:

The product should be transported with the necessary packaging materials.

There should be no severe vibration, impact and rearrangement during

transportation. The transportation temperature should be in the range of -40

to +55℃.

3.Technical Specification

3.1. Safety regulations

Warnings:
To ensure the safety of the operator and the safety of the product and the

equipment associated with the product, this manual contains information and

warnings that the operator must follow. Wrong operation of this product may

result in personal injury and equipment and Security incident.

This product is designed, manufactured and tested in accordance with the

safety standards in the following standards:

JB/T 7620-1994 standard "Compensation AC voltage regulator"

3.2. Environment regulations:

This product is free of cadmium, hydride and fluoride, without producing organic

compounds, nor harmful gases.

Noise: When the regulator is operating stably under rated conditions, the noise

generated is not higher than 65dB (A)

EMC: This product meets the electromagnetic radiation interference and conducted

interference generated by the environmental power grid and other devices.

Complied to IEC61000 EN55022, EN61000 European standard.

4、circuitous philosophy

Warnings:
The regulator detects the true RMS voltage of the varying output voltage as

sampling signal via a computer digital control loop,which is used to ensure that

the output voltage remains within the accuracy of the rated voltage.

The voltage regulator is an electromagnetic compensation type AC voltage

regulator that monitors the change of the output power supply voltage by using

the computer digital control principle, and adjusts the TAP of the transformer

through the electromagnetic switch matrix to always maintain a stable output

voltage.

Composed components:

①Compensation transformer , voltage regulating transformer , auxiliary

transformer ,

②Digital voltage sampling circuit;

③Electromagnetic switch matrix circuit;

④Overload, short circuit, under voltage and overvoltage protection devices;

⑤ Output voltage meter, indicator light and other display parts.

Principle instruction:

(1) The digital voltage sampling loop converts the output voltage change

information to a computer control circuit board (CPU PCB) after performing true

RMS conversion;

(2) The control circuit board transmit an instruction to the electromagnetic

switch matrix circuit according to the sampling circuit information;

(3) The electromagnetic switch splits the transformer TAP to complete the voltage

conversion;

(4) Overload, short circuit, overvoltage, undervoltage protection device will cut

off the power supply in the corresponding protection state.

5.Delivery inspection

5.1. Each product is inspected and qualified by the prescribed quality control

procedures before leaving the factory. When the customer receives the goods,

please check:

A. Whether the product causes damage, obvious looseness, shedding and damage

during transportation;

B. The model and specification of the product are consistent with your ordering

information (contract), especially the capacity, input/output voltage value, etc.

C, product, user manual, certificate and other materials are delivered as

stipulated in the order (contract) .

Caution:
If the product does not conform to your ordering information (contract) or if there is any

problem with the product, please contact us.

5.2. The unloading and handling of the product must ensure the safety of the product and the

personnel who are unloading/handling. All the passages of the cabinet movement path roads

should be able to pass through cabinets and manual/electric forklifts. The road/ground should

have sufficient load-bearing capacity. Check for dead spots, stairs, doors and other obstacles to

ensure smooth passage.

6、 Wiring of installation

6.1、Installation responsibility division

Caution:
In order to ensure the installation and starting of the AVR can be carried

out smoothly and effectively, it is required that the customer will assist in the

following work according to the division of responsibility in the following table.

(1) The work specified in the following table “Customer Responsibilities” shall

be completed by the customer;

(2) The company is responsible for completing the work specified in

“Responsibility of the Company”;

(3) During the installation and starting up process, the client shall provide

necessary assistance such as personnel and venue for the work of the company's

engineers;

(4) If the customer cannot bear the “customer responsibility” agreed in the above

table for some reasons,please discuss with the related department.

Caution:
The installation site of the voltage regulator shall comply with the environmental

conditions as specified in 2.1 of this manual.

6.2 Cable choosing

Dangerous:
Make sure to turn off the power before implementing cable connections.

Warning : Only qualified electricians can install and wire; all

input/output cables must comply with national electrical standards and pass

safety certification.

Caution:
Input and output cables diameter must be considered on load factor,

interception flow, heat dissipation conditions, environmental conditions,

laying methods, transmission length, etc. The following recommended

specifications are for reference only.

Caution:
When there is N sequence current in the grid loop or the three-phase

unbalance is large, the cross-sectional area of the N line should be increased

to be close to or equal to the cross-sectional area of the phase line.

6.3 Connection

Dangerous:
(1) Before connecting or related operations,make sure to cut off the input power

to prevent accidents caused by electric shock.

(2) Make sure to add MCB at the input of this product.

Warning :
①Only qualified engineer are allowed to perform wiring and debugging operations;

② When installing and wiring the product, please be sure to connect according

to the terminal identification or product manual. Do not reverse the input and

output; do not reverse the neutral line and the phase line;

③ Connect the load according to the rated capacity of this product, please keep

power richness when working continuously for a long time or when there is impact

load or non-linear load and large harmonics .

Caution:
When wiring, please select the appropriate cable and wire ear to ensure

reliable connection of input and output. There must be sufficient cooling space

and maintenance space around the top and top of the product.

The terminal block of the regulator is shown in the figure.

Input and output marked clearly, please connect carefully to avoid any mistake.

Before wiring, please check whether the nominal voltage of the terminal is

the same as your requirements.

Before wiring, use a multimeter or a megameter to measure whether the

input/output of the regulator is short-circuited to the chassis/ground or the

insulation resistance is below 1MΩ. If yes, please inform the technical service

center of the company.

Use appropriate tools when wiring, and make sure to maintain the necessary

coupling force so that the connection point does not generate excessive heat due

to big resistance.

The input and output terminals are opened under the inner liner of the front

door, and the inlet and outlet are from the bottom.

Warning :
DO NOT reverse the input/output. Do not reverse the phase line to the neutral

line! For single-phase voltage regulators, it is important to distinguish between

the input phase and neutral lines to avoid wrong connection. If the single-phase

regulator's neutral and phase lines are connected incorrectly, it will result

into failure to regulate or even damage!

6.4 POWER-ON TEST

Caution:
(1). Before power-on, check whether the input/output, voltage level,

neutral, phase, and ground are properly connected.

(2). Before POWER-ON, turn off the load (device) connected to the

regulator.

Test steps:

ⅰ.Starting UP process of AVR:

a. Open the front door of the stabilizer ,turn the “regulator/bypass”

switch on to the “regulated” position.

b. Power-on power to the input of the regulator. Turn on the “Input

Power Switch” and the “Power” light will be on. After 3-5 seconds,

the“regulation”light will be on, and the regulator has output voltage.

The output voltage meter indicates the current output voltage value.

c. Power-on the load.

ⅱ.Turning off process of the stabilizer:

A. Cut off the load。

B.Switch off the output breaker”。

ⅲ.Bypass operation:

a. Open the front door of the AVR ,turn the “regulator/bypass” switch

on to the “bypass” position.

b. Power-on the input of the voltage regulator. At this time, the

“power”light and the“bypass”light will be on. The voltage regulator

has an output voltage. The output voltage meter indicates the current

output voltage value. At this time, the output voltage is unstable.

c. Switch on the load.

At this point, the power-on test is completed.

Caution:

(1). When the input voltage is out of the regulator's regulation range,

the regulator will not reach the specified regulation accuracy.And if

the input voltage is too high or too low for a long time, The lifespan

of of regulator will be shortened. At this point, it is recommended that

you adjust the tap of the power transformer or take other effective

measures according to the prescribed procedures.

(2). The normal working state of the regulator is in the regulated state.

At this time, the “regulator/bypass” switch is on the “regulated”

mode.

(3). If the phase sequence is wrong, just switch any two incoming line wires

and re-energize.

(4). When power-on test, if you have any questions, please call our

technical support department for consultation.

Warning:
①. Before operation,Make sure that the input , output cables are properly

connected and the unit is safely grounded.

② Make sure the load is disconnected before operating the unit. Starting

the unit with a load will shorten the lifespan and even damage.

③ After the voltage regulator is connected, the load capacity must be

reserved with a certain margin. Do not overload the load for a long time.

7、Operation procedure:

Caution:
If the phase sequence of the power supply will affect the load (for example,

the motor will be reversed running), before starting the load, make sure the phase

sequence of the power supply is correct. So it can avoid abnormal load operation ,

even equipment damage and personal accidents.

a. Switch off the breaker of the output of the AVR.

b. Switch “regulator/bypass” selector of the regulator in the “regulated”

mode.

c. Set the “input power switch” of the regulator to the “ON” position.

d. Observe the output voltage value should be within the rated tolerance zone;

Check the power phase sequence is correct or not. If it is not correct, you can

exchange any two power phase lines.

e. Start up the load.

Caution:

If the regulator trips during operation, check whether the input voltage

is too high or too low, or fluctuation greatly, phase loss, and the load

exceeded the regulator rating. If it’s none of the above, please call our

technical support department.

After the power failure, when the mains comes back the regulator will

auto restart itself.

Dangerous:
Pay attention to safety when using the regulator, and do not touch the live

parts inside the machine.

Caution:
All control PCBs have been calibrated, and customers are not allowed to adjust

or touch the board.

8.Maintenance

The working environment of this regulator should meet the requirements of

Section 2.1 of this manual.Because the voltage doesn’t have mechanical

transmission components and power electronics such as SCR , it does not require

frequent maintenance, component replacement

8.1 If abnormal contact noise is found during working, there may be dirt on

the pole surface of the iron core. Please clean the pole surface; The arc

extinguishing cover is allowed to be removed only after the main circuit of the

contactor is powered off. Arc-extinguishing cover must be well installed during

operation.The contact surface can be repaired. If it is necessary to repair,please

use a trowel, abrasive cloth prohibited. During operation, the product parts

should be inspected frequently, and the movable part should not be stuck, and the

fastener should not be loose. If the part is damaged, it should be replaced in

time.

8.2. During the operation of the voltage regulator, Please always check whether the

insurance is damaged, the insurance seat discolored, deformation, etc. If any, please

replace it in time.

8.3. During the operation of the voltage regulator,Please always check whether the fan

is working properly.

8.4. Usually,the dry transformers is maintenance free. However, in dusty or hazardous

materials application, it’s required to pay special attention to the wiring

terminals, the bottom whether dust accumulation . The surface dust can be blown off

with a compressed air compressor with capacity not more than 2 atmospheres. It’s

required to pay attention check to whether the fastening parts are loose or hot, and

whether there are cracks, creepage and carbonization marks on the winding insulation

surface, and whether the noise is normal or not.It is forbidden to touch in the routine

inspection.

Caution:
(1) When the output voltage deviates from the rated voltage accuracy (the
input voltage is within the specified range, the output voltage can be calibrated
by the potentiometer.Rotating potentiometer clockwise to low the output voltage,
while counterclockwise to up the output voltage.
(2) When the output voltage deviates from the rated voltage, Please firstly

check whether the input voltage is within the input voltage range.
(3) When the regulator automatically trips, pleae check whether the input
power supply exceeds the specified range, or the load exceeds the rated capacity,
or any phase loss. If the above conditions are all normal,let the regulator
work in bypass condition and notified to related department.

9.Service after sale

The following faults are not covered by the warranty:

A. Majeure ;

B. Man-made Sabotag;

C. Violated operation ;

D. Wrong or mistake operating procedures ;

E. Maintenance or repairing the fault without authorization.

LCD TOUCH SCREEN OPERATION INSTRUCTION
1. Instruction of LCD touch screen interface ,main interface as below:

1.1, Voltage regulated: Voltage regulating key and state flow chart displaying

(Dynamic effective).

1.2, Bypass: Bypass operation keys and bypass state flow chart display

(Dynamically effective).

1.3, Line voltage / Phase voltage: select the line voltage or phase voltage

to exchange input and output voltage display .

1.4. Query: Query function operation keys, which can query the operating

parameters, accumulated parameters, setting parameters, alarm records, operation

records, equipment parameters and running status of the regulator. Under the

query state,you can only view parameters but cannot modify parameters.

1.5. Setting: Set the function operation key. Enter the password to enter the

setting mode, and you set, change and correct the operating parameters of the

regulator.

1.6. Alarm indication: When the voltage regulator fails, the alarm indicates

the action, and mute by choosing the silenced mode.

1.7. Date/Clock: Displays the current date, time, and day of the week.

1.8. Status indicator: The LED status indicator can visually display the

current status of the regulator.

2、Query function introduction:

Press the “Query” key on the main interface to enter the system query

interface, as shown below.:

In the system query menu, you can view the operating parameters, accumulated

parameters, setting parameters, alarm records, operation records, device

parameters, and operating status of the regulator.

2.1. In the operating parameters, the output parameters of the regulator can

be visually displayed, such as output active power, reactive power, apparent power,

output current, power factor, load rate, frequency, etc. Through the operation

parameter interface, the customer can intuitively understand the load type and

capacity.

2.2. In the cumulative parameter interface, the active energy and reactive

energy of the output , and the working time can be displayed. Through the

accumulation parameter interface, the customer can intuitively understand the

active energy and reactive energy of the load consumption, and facilitate the

customer to carry out energy efficiency management and analysis of the load.

The cumulative parameter interface is shown in Figure 2.2 below:

2.3In the setting parameters menu, you can view the parameters of the

regulator, such as output voltage , voltage regulation accuracy, voltage

regulation range and various protection thresholds.

2.4 In the alarm event log, you can visually see faulty time, fault name,

and the troubleshooting suggestions.

In the operation record menu, the previous shutdown time, the start-up time,

and the operation process during the operation can be recorded. It can intuitively

understand the operation of the regulator during working .

The operation record is as shown in Figure 2.5.:

2.6 The device parameter interface records Regulator’s information:the

capacity, model, input and output voltage, number, date of manufacture,

manufacturer and other information of the regulator, which can help you easily

understand the main technical parameters and manufacturing time of the regulator.

The equipment parameters are as shown in Figure 2.6:

2.7.In the running status interface, you can visually read the current

operating status of the regulator, such as steady state, bypass status, and fault
status.

3.Setting function introduction:

Press the “Settings” button on the main interface, and enter the password

to enter the setting interface. The setting interface isfor the manufacturer

engineer to set the operating parameters of the voltage regulator.

Non-professionals are strictly forbidden to operate.Otherwise, the manufacturer

will be not responsible for all the consequences.

4. Touch screen operation procedure:

After the machine is powered on, the machine will do automatic self-test

firstly. While the LED power light is on, the logo will display for 2 seconds.

After that it will transfer to stablizing mode and after when it has become stable,
the LED indiactor will be light:

4.1.Bypass operation procedure:

Press the “Bypass” key on the main interface to display “Do you want to

switch to bypass mode?” The inquiry interface:

After confirming by pressing the “ Confirm ” key, the regulator will

automatically transfer into bypass operation. At this time, the LED bypass light

is on, the output voltage of the regulator is equal to the input voltage, and the

regulator is in the bypass through state. The main circuit is constantly powered).

4.2.Regulating operation procedure :

In bypass mode, pressing the”Regulating” Key, it will display “do you want

to transfer to Regulating mode?”:

After pressing the "confirm" key, the regulator automatically transfer to the
regulated voltage operation mode. The AVR LED light is on (note that the
main circuit is continuously powered during the bypass to voltage
regulation).
Alarm and operating status
The character display can provide 23complete alarm information, for
Diagnostic purpose.
Each alarm information corresponds to a processing suggestion and
processing suggestion is stored in a historical event.

When the regulator system is not working normally, please try to solve the problem
referring to the following table.
