Activity Objectives:
Orient field personnel on the adjustment made in the RPMS for teacher in
the time of Covid-19, including its tools, processes, and protocols; and
Serve as a supplementary reference material in digital format for teachers
and school leaders to refer to adapting and responding quickly and
effectively to emerging circumstances associated with the implementation of
the Results- based Performance Management System in the time of new
normal education.

Faithful to the commitment of the Department of Education( Dep Ed) to quality teaching, it is
being recognized as vital to the attainment of desired learning outcome, the departments
remains steadfast in the efforts to anchor its human resources system and action on well-
defined professional standards for teacher quality.
C onsistent with DepEd Order (Do) No' 2, s' 2ol5 prescribing the
and implementation of the Results-Based
Guidelines on the Establishment
Performance Management System (RPMS) in the Department of E ducation and
pursuant to Secti"on 5 of Do 42, s' 2ol7 on the National Adoption and
Implementation of the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST), which
mandates that all performance appraisals for teachers shall be based on this set
ofstandards, this Department has been integrating and embedding the PPST into the
RPMS of teacher since School Year (SY) 2018-20 19'

For SY 2O2l-2O22, the Department aims to complete the cycle of embedding the 37
indicators into teachers' performance. THIS DepEd
Memorandum titled Implementation of the Results -Based Performance Management
System- Philippines Professional Standards for Teachers( RPMS-PPST) for School
Year 2021-2022 provides for the guidelines on the performance management and
appraisal of teachers using the remaining 18 indicators in their RPMS. With the
implementation of the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan ( BE-LCP), the
sudden shift from face to face to remote learning' and now the gradual
implementation of the limited face to face classes' the tools' forms' and protocol
stipulated herein are developed and modified to ensure that the measures
the performance this school year are appropriate, adaptive' and relevant to capture
teachers' actual performance in the context of the pandemic. Meanwhile, the very reason
to conduct these orientation for the purpose of implementation of RPMS- PPST- for S.Y.
2021-2022,these guidelines were prescribed.
With the continued delivery of basic education services through various distance
learning delivery modality, the changes in the expectation of teacher necessitates a
COVID-19 responsive RPMS while upholding quality teaching using the professional
standards. The modifications in RPMS,its tool, processes and protocols, for the present
school year, captures the DepEd current system that governs teacher functions.
Moreover, Mr. Misagal, the lead teacher/ mentor, facilitated during their SLAC, to all the
mentees to discussed with his colleague on teaching and learning practices that adhere to laws,
regulation and responsibilities specified in the Code of Ethic for Professional Teacher, through
presenting and explaining further them via video clips and powerpoint presentation and giving
a short quiz about it to check there knowledge about the topic.
The training were done smoothly since it was facilitated by the brilliant facilitator and well
managed by the resident mentors, whom were able refreshed the ideals techniques to
enhanced content knowledge which came up the required like updated IPCRF-DP as their
output coupled with action plan for the implementations of inputs in their respective schools,
which geared them instilling strong commitment and advocacy towards positive
implementations on the classroom observations.
