1. Introduce the topic of the lesson by asking pupils about popular sports and activities.
2. Activity 1:
a. Pupils look at the photo of a skateboarder and elicit what the boy is doing. (pg 65)
b. Find out if anyone has tried skateboarding. If yes, ask whether they liked it or not and why.
c. Ask the rest of the class whether they would like to try it.
d. Pupils work in pairs to answer the questions and share their reasons.
3. Activity 2:
a. Pupils read out the three numbers in question 2.
b. Check the meaning of hundred, thousand, million.
c. Pupils read out the prices in question 5.
d. Elicit which country has pounds.
e. Ask what other kinds of money they know. (e.g. dollar, yen etc)
f. Play the audio.
