My Daily Server Checks Task

1. ESS Backup Check before Sending an Email to Daryl.


2. INDIGO Server and Backup Check
Username: Bnadmin
Password: Bn@dm1n
 Ensure the backup has enough space (Delete old Backups if necessary)
 Open my computer and double click on the BACKUP DRIVE (E :).
Open the Acronis Folder and check which files need to be deleted.
There should only be 1 full back up in the folder any old full backup then delete it
In the weekdays the free space should like 100GB and if there is not enough space then
delete 1 week day backup file.
By Friday the free space should be around 380GB.
3. Pet Resort Server and Backup Check
Username: gmsupport
Password: n3@rsh0r3
 MONDAY Task – KC and MYOB Backup/ Transfer.
 FRIDAY Task – Router Backup

KC Backup
This backup is done manually only on Monday.

Create folder - saving the backup


1. Go to E drive
2. Open Pet Resort Backup
3. KC backup
4. Create new folder named ‘KC backup (date)’.

Backup
1. Go to ‘Start’
2. Click on SQL Server Management Studio Express

3. Click to connect the software


4. On the left panel expand ‘Database’

5. Right click ‘wkennel’ ‘task’ ‘Backup’

6. Clicking on Backup will open the window below


7. Checked the circle next to Disk to select it (see red circle)
8. Click on Add
9. This should only have one disk destination path. IF there is 2 please select the old one and
click remove

10. Clicking Add will open the window below. Browse’ to your folder you created and click ok.
Browse to the Folder that you initially created in Drive E to save the backup.

11. Shown below is the window that will open when clicking on browse

12. Once you select the folder you initial create for this backup to be saved on then type in a file
name. Can be the same as folder name you created.
13. Click OK to commence execution
14. Once backup is completed successfully. Click Ok

MYOB (manual backup transfer)


This backup is done manually only on Monday.

1. Go to the G drive

2. Copy ‘MYOB Data’ folder’


3. Go to the E drive
4. Open Pet Resort Backup Folder
5. Open MYOB Backup Folder
6. Create a folder named ‘MYOB Data (date)’.
7. Paste the MYOB files which you have copied in the new folder which you created.

4. GMA Server and Backup Check


 WSUS and ROUTER Backups Every Friday
 By 1pm ensure that the TAPE has been swapped for Today’s Backup > do the
INVENTORY on Exec App.
 Goto devices > IBM > Inventory
