MS- POWERPOINT

INSERT AUDIO

On the Insert tab, in the Media group, click the arrow under Audio. In the list, click Audio
from file or Clip Art audio, locate and select the audio clip that you want, and then click
Insert.

1. Select Insert > Audio.


2. Select Record Audio.
3. Type in a name for your audio file, select Record, and then speak. ...
4. To review your recording, select Stop and then select Play.
5. Select Record to re-record your clip, or select OK if you're satisfied.

INSERT VIDEO

On the Insert tab, click Video, then click Movie from File. In the Choose a Movie dialog
box, select the file you want to insert. If you want to embed the video on the slide, simply
click Insert

Step 1: To insert a video file into PowerPoint, open your presentation and
select a slide in which you want to add a video..
Step 2: Look at the top ribbon bar, then click on the Insert button.
Step 3: On the Insert tab, click the Video drop-down arrow
To insert a video from a file:
This feature helps you to insert a video file from your computer by selecting a
video file. We’ll insert a video from a file saved locally on your computer.
Step 1: Select the video file on your PC in the Insert Video box menu.
Step 2: Then click the Insert button to insert video into your slide (presentation).
Step 3: The video will be added to the slide. Adjust the size of the video
accordingly.

SLIDE TO VIDEO
After you create your PowerPoint presentation, you can save it as a video to
share with others.
1. Select File > Export > Create a video.
2. Select the quality of the video: ...
3. Decide if you want to: ...
4. In the Seconds spent on each slide box, select the default time you want to
spend on each slide.
5. Select Create Video.

Action Button

In PowerPoint, you can create an action button using shapes, images, and text
within your presentation. When activated, an action button can link to either a
specific slide within your presentation, a web page, or another PowerPoint
presentation. In addition, PowerPoint offers action buttons that play sounds
when activated.
To insert an action button into your presentation:

1. Open the PowerPoint presentation.


2. Highlight the text or object you would like to hyperlink.
3. Click the [Insert] tab > From the "Links" group, click [Action].
4. Select the "Hyperlink to:" radio button > From the drop-down menu,
choose where you would like the action button to link to when activated.
5. Click [OK].
6. To test the action button, start your PowerPoint slideshow (Click F5 on your
keyboard) and click the text or image with the action button.

Hyperlink

In PowerPoint, you can create a hyperlink using any text within your presentation.
When clicked on, a hyperlink can directly link to a specific slide within your
presentation, a saved file, a web page, another PowerPoint presentation, or a
custom email.
To insert a hyperlink into your presentation:

1. Open the PowerPoint presentation.


2. Highlight the text or object you would like to hyperlink.

3. Right-click the highlighted text and select "Hyperlink..."
4. From the "Link to:" side panel, choose the destination for your hyperlink.
o For Existing File or Web Page, browse your computer to locate the
file you wish to link to.
o For Place in This Document, choose the slide you wish to link to.
o For Create a New Document, type the name of your new PowerPoint
presentation and choose when to edit the document.
o For E-mail Addresses, enter the recipient(s) email address and the
subject line of the email.
5. Click [OK].
6. To test the action button, start your PowerPoint slideshow (Click F5 on your
keyboard) and click the text with the action button.

REHEARSE TIMING

When you want to record a running time for each slide, use the Rehearse Timings feature.
This enables you to run through your presentation in Slide Show view and record the
time each slide takes. Then, use the timings to run the show automatically, either to help you
rehearse, or for a self-running show.

To use rehearse timings in PowerPoint 2016, follow these steps:

1. Open Microsoft PowerPoint


2. Open the presentation you wish to work on or create a new Blank
Presentation and add some sample content
3. Select Slide Show > Rehearse Timings
4. Microsoft PowerPoint will now launch the presentation in slide show mode
along with the Rehearsal toolbar
5. The Rehearsal toolbar will now begin timing your presentation, begin
rehearsing your presentation

6. Practice what you will say on Slide 1 of your presentation


7. Once you have finished on Slide 1, allow a few additional seconds then click
the Next button on the Rehearsal toolbar

8. Slide 2 will now be displayed allowing you to go through the content you
will discuss on Slide 2
9. Repeat the process for all slides, using the Next button to move to the next
slide. If you wish to pause to think for a moment, click the Pause button
from the Rehearsal toolbar
10.Once you have completed the entire presentation you will see a message
asking you if you wish to save the slide timings

11.To keep the timing and use them to automatically advance your slides
during your presentation, click Yes
12.If you do not wish to use them, make note of the total time it took to
complete the presentation and then click No.
13.If you kept the slide timings, select the first slide and go to
the Transitions tab. Check the Advanced Slide After setting. The rehearsed
timing duration will now be set on each slide

14.To test the rehearse timings select Slide Show > From Beginning or
press F5 on the keyboard
