Textile company

INTRODUCTION

***** (COMPANY NAME)was founded in ****. in *** (country) in the city of ***
by ***, with whose efforts a production unit was created, which very quickly
developed into a large company that includes all stages of production.

The policy of ***** (company name)is to achieve the implementation and

maintenance of standards that will ensure the production that meets the expected and
stated requirements of its customers, as well as the applicability of ***** and
community legislation.

The company's goals are to continuously improve customer satisfaction and process
efficiency. By achieving the above goals, customers receive qualitative products with
high standards.

The administration of ***** (COMPANY NAME), in order to support the success of

the above goals and to demonstrate in practice its commitment to quality, decided to
implement a quality system in accordance with globally accepted standards.

The company maintains controlled and stable quality with its production structure,
with careful selection of raw materials, with precise selection of suppliers and
partners and with continuous training of personnel.

To achieve continuous productivity improvement, everyone in business must

constantly strive to do their job as best as possible, within their capabilities, and
follow predetermined procedures.
The company's interest in continuous improvement requires employees to be
encouraged to submit suggestions for improvement by addressing them to their direct
supervisors, as well as to receive appropriate and regular training to adopt
environmental awareness both at work, at home and in daily life.

Each worker is an integral part of the quality chain and is necessary to ensure the
implementation of the standard and bears individual responsibility for the work he
does.

With the globalization of the market and the demands of fast fashion, our company is
called to face another equally important problem of the textile industry - the
environment.

As it is known, the production of textiles includes many dangerous practices, both for
the environment and for the end user.

We pay special attention to the following facts which made us think about our
personal responsibility in the global fashion market:

• The equivalent of a garbage truck full of clothes is burned or dumped on the ground
every second (UNEP, 2018)
• About 60% of all materials used in the fashion industry are made of plastic (UNEP,
2019)
• 500,000 tons of microfibers are thrown into the ocean every year from laundry —
equivalent to 50 billion plastic bottles (Ellen McArthur Foundation, 2017)
• The fashion industry is responsible for 8-10% of humanity's carbon emissions –
more than all international flights and maritime transport combined (UNEP, 2018). If
the fashion sector continues to move along its current trajectory, this share of the
carbon balance may jump to 26% by 2050. (Ellen MacArthur Foundation, 2017)
• About 93 billion cubic meters of water – enough to meet the needs of five million
people – is used by the fashion industry annually, contributing significantly to water
scarcity in some regions (UNCTAD, 2020).
• About 20% of industrial wastewater pollution in the world comes from the fashion
industry (WRI, 2017)

These and other similar facts give us the initial impetus to draw up the current
strategy.

address
Production with sustainable methods is needed today more than ever. Climate change
reminds us of this every day. The damage done to the planet is so great that it needs
immediate action.
This is the main reason why most clothing companies are turning to sustainable
production and declaring that in the near future the cotton they still use must be
produced only through sustainable agricultural practices.

SIGNIFICANT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS

RELATED TO THE WORKING PROCESS IN THE
FACTORY

1. The production of yarns, fabrics and garments consumes a lot of energy, mostly
elactrical.

2. The remaining production runs the risk of senseless and unconscious disposal.

3. During the production and processing of fabrics, a lot of moss is formed in the
indoor atmosphere, which poses risks to the health of workers if personal protective
equipment (mask, gloves, earplugs) is not used.

4. When transporting materials and products, the fuels used pollute the environment.

SCOPE OF THE STRATEGY AND SUSTAINABLE

DEVELOPMENT

Guided by the company's environmental policy and local and global environmental
conditions, environmental management includes a wide range of sustainability
activities and steps, as described below:

16.06.2023
address
Environment: The space in which the daily activities of the company and its
community take place, together with the products produced and the consequences
of their production.
Emphasis is placed on maintaining clean air, minimizing the use of water, minimizing
the use of energy and producing energy from sustainable sources, minimizing the use
of chemicals and monitoring its progress, respecting the natural factors of the earth,
biodiversity, flora, the fauna, of the people who act and interact with these elements
and the social and cultural values directly related to aspects of the natural
environment'.

Our vision for the future and the main goal of this strategy is to achieve a minimal
adverse impact on nature and produce sustainable products.

To achieve this vision, we set ourselves the following goals:

TO DO:
1) Minimize electricity consumption.
2) Increase the production of products from recycled materials and organic origin
3) Check all delivered raw materials for their stability and the absence of dangerous
chemicals during processing and in their composition.
4) Increase the production of organic cotton clothing and strictly monitore its progress
before it reaches the company building, so that its absolute organic origin can be
confirmed every time.
5) Minimize and eliminate the use of packaging materials of non organic origin
6) Limit the use of detergents to 0.01% of production.
7) Maximum utilization of the rest of the production (pieces of fabric, plastic
packaging, defective clothes, etc.)
8) Digitization of all company files in order to save paper.

STEPS TO COMPLETE GOALS

I. MINIMIZE ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION.

Today, our company is completely dependent on electricity. To change this

situation it is necessary:
1. Replace all light fixtures with LED bulbs and safely remove and dispose of old
ones.
2. Replacing electrical appliances with energy-efficient devices and limiting
unnecessary energy consumption with personal and corporate responsibility.

II. INCREASING PRODUCTION OF PRODUCTS FROM RECYCLED

MATERIALS AND ORGANIC ORIGIN

1. The company currently uses 35% organic cotton fabrics and 2% organic
and/or recycled fabrics/laces. In the future, this percentage should be increased
with the aim that by 2032 the purchase/production of clothes from organic
cotton and/or organic origin/recycled materials will constitute at least 85%.
2. Creation of new models of fabrics from modal, lyocell, bamboo, organic
cotton.
3. Creating new models from recycled materials such as recycled polyester and
recycled polyamide.
4. Promoting and offering our customers new sustainable products.
5. Finding new customers with the same environmental philosophy and directing
old customers to greener materials.

III. INSPECTION OF ALL SUPPLIED RAW MATERIALS

It has always been our personal duty to ensure the quality of all our materials and
finished products, which is why we always check the reliability of our partners. The
steps that are followed and must continue to be followed are:

1. Research the market for reliable and certified material suppliers.

16.06.2023
address
2. Checking their certificates and their compliance with OEKOTEX, OCS, GOTS,
ISO sustainability and quality standards.
3. Requirement for minimum OEKOTEX certification.

III. INCREASE THE MARKET/PRODUCTION OF ORGANIC COTTON

AND STRICTLY TRACK IT BEFORE IT REACHES THE
COMPANY'S MATERIALS

***** (company name)over the years adheres to strict standards in the cotton market
(organic and inorganic). The goals we set before ourselves are:

1. The organic cotton market should gradually increase by 2.5% to 5% each year with
the aim of reaching 80% of the total cotton market in 2032.

2. Strict control of all suppliers of organic cotton and the necessary documents, but
also for the actual compliance with the procedures in its production.

IV. MINIMIZE AND ELIMINATE THE USE OF NON ORGANIC

PACKAGING MATERIALS

Since 2018, ***** (COMPANY NAME), together with its parent company *****,has
decided to remove the usual packaging bags from the La Dima brand (which owns the
latter) and use only paper packaging made from recycled paper.
We would also like all our customers to comply with this act by eliminating
unnecessary packaging materials and/or replacing their packaging with sustainable
and harmless materials.
The steps towards realizing this goal are:

1. Finding certified and reliable suppliers of biodegradable bags.

2. Urging customers to immediately replace their usual packaging with more

environmentally friendly materials such as recycled paper and biodegradable bags.

16.06.2023
address
The goal is that by 2032 packaging materials of unsustainable and uncertified origin
will not be used at all.

3. Encouraging customers in general to simplify packaging in order to reduce raw

material consumption and preserve raw material sources.

4. Safe disposal for recycling of old/discarded non-organic bags.

5. Use all available packaging materials before making changes to the packaging.
Strictly avoid disposal of old packaging materials.

6. Proper storage of materials to avoid their destruction and unnecessary disposal.

V. LIMIT THE USE OF DETERGENT TO 0.01% OF PRODUCTION.

1. Maintenance of maximum cleanliness of machines and production and storage

premises with frequent hygiene checks.
2. 2. Staff training and requirement for individual responsibility of each worker
who processes the materials from their production to the shipment of the
products.
3. 3. Strict recommendation to the dye shop and inspection of the fabrics upon
their acceptance by the dye shop for stains.

V. MAXIMUM USE OF PRODUCTION RESIDUES (FABRICS,

PACKAGING NYLON, SECOND QUALITY CLOTHES, ETC.)

Our company recognizes the large percentage of waste produced in the textile
industry. In addition to financial costs, the residue is also a threat for environmental
pollution. To avoid contamination and increase the life of the materials, we specify
the following:

16.06.2023
address
1. Today ***** (COMPANY NAME)has 7%-8% profit. This usually occurs in small
imperfections of the fabric from either the thread or the stitching. The goal for the
next 10 years is to reduce textile waste to 3%.
2. Fabric waste to be delivered/sold/recycled to partners 100%.
3. All nylon from packaging to be collected in separate restricted access areas and
delivered regularly for recycling to trusted partners.
4. All second quality clothes to be sold or given for recycling

The goal is that by 2032, all of the company's by-products continue their lives in
another form at 99%.

VI. DIGITALIZE ALL COMPANY FILES TO SAVE PAPER AND INK

1. Eliminate standard archive folders and create a digital archive of all

incoming/outgoing messages.
2. Strict prohibition of unnecessary printing.
3. Recommendation to send documents online and not on paper.
4. Recycle all unnecessary paper records.
