Face to Face Classes in Dominican College

The start of face-to-face classes is finally here – just as we’ve all been waiting for
it to happen! After 2 years of online classes as a way of learning during the pandemic
I'm sure the majority of us have missed attending physical classrooms every day after
taking online classes over the past two years as a means of learning throughout the
pandemic. We're finally permitted to resume regular in-person classes this academic
year. Finally, we won't need to rely on technology to connect with our friends and
professors. Face-to-face classes could be one method for those who are struggling with
anxiety, depression, and other mental disorders as a result of the pandemic to get
better. By interacting with classmates in pairs or group projects, it might assist pupils in
overcoming shyness. Social skills will also advance along with academic performance.
Our relationship with our fellow students will be strengthened as a result of learning
about their varied backgrounds. Events at school are even more enjoyable because we
can participate personally, just like before. Students also developed and discovered
talents and skills that they were unaware they possessed. It may make it easier for
transfer students to settle in and develop new acquaintances at school. When we
develop strong relationships with our teachers, we can ask questions with confidence
and receive prompt responses from them. Furthermore, it can assist students in making
new acquaintances who have similar interests to their own. Additionally, face-to-face
class gives students the self-assurance they need to express themselves freely.
I had nostalgia when I initially arrived on campus. My old memories from my time in
school before the pandemic all returned. I had the opportunity to speak with my pals
directly for the first time instead of simply over video calls and texting. Although getting
up early in the morning merely to get to school is exhausting, the joy and excitement I
had each day was different. Because the teachers gave clearer explanations of the
subjects in the courses, I was able to comprehend the material even better. I enjoy
participating in group activities because I have the opportunity to offer my thoughts,
hear those of my group members, and pick up new information. I came to understand
that learning encompasses social experiences as well as academic accomplishment,
which we might use in the future. My classmates and I have the opportunity to interact,
respect one another's differences, and communicate. We engage in numerous activities
together that call for communication and cooperation, so I came to know them better as
a result. We celebrated United Nations Week on November 8, 2022, and I enjoyed
performing for the occasion. I was quite delighted to be reminded by the folks who were
observing us in the gym that things are gradually returning to normal. My classmates'
faces were beaming with enthusiasm and excitement as I looked at them. They clearly
prefer in-person instruction to online instruction, as I could tell. I can't ignore the fact that
studying was more effective and enjoyable when we were all together in person. The joy
we experienced in face-to-face lessons cannot be replaced.
