LEARNING ACTIVITY SHEET TVL AGRICULTURAL CROP PRODUCTION

QUARTER2 - WEEK5 GRADE11

Name of Learner:
Grade Level and Section:
Date:

Measurement data is important in managing and performing farm

operations. Through this learning activity sheets, the learners will be able to engage
in identifying the job requirements from written or oral communications. Estimating
the quantities of materials and resources is required to complete a work task
including the time needed to complete the activity. Accurate estimate for work
completion shall be made, at the same time the needed materials and resources be
reported to appropriate person.

II.
LEARNING COMPETENCIES

Perform Estimation (TLE_AFAACP9-12PEBC-IIIa-e-7)

Objectives:

1. Identify job requirements from written or oral communications

2. Estimate quantities of materials and resources require to complete a
work task
3. Estimate the time needed to complete a work activity
4. Estimate farm inputs and labor requirements for work completion
5. Report estimate of materials and resources to appropriate person

Let’s Level Up!

1. Task 1: How Do You Apply What You Have?

Let’s Add More! ESTIMATING FARM INPUTS AND LABOR REQUIREMENTS

INSTRUCTION: Given the gathered data in Table 1, compute the following farm inputs and
labor requirement using the formula for each item. Write your answers in Table 2.

Table 1. Data gathered for the Farm Inputs and Labor requirements
Total land area 50 ,000 sq meter
Amount of fertilizer 20/kilo
Number of days consumed in planting the area 2 day
Number of workers planted the area 5 workers
Amount of salary paid in planting the area 300/day

Number of workers who fertilized the area from planting up to the 2 workers
date of this survey.

Quantity of fertilizer used from planting up to the date where 200 kilos
survey was made

Amount of salary paid in applying fertilizer from planting to the 300/day

date of this survey

Quantity of fertilizer to be used after the survey until final 500 kilos
harvesting*

Number of workers required to perform fertilization after the 2 workers

survey until final harvesting*

Amount of salary paid in applying fertilizer from planting to the 300/day

date of this survey

Table 2: COMPUTATION FOR THE TOTAL COST OF ALL THE EXPENSES

Total amount of salary paid in planting the area

Total amount of fertilizer consumed from planting up to the date of

the survey

Total amount of salary paid in fertilizing the area from planting up

to the date of the survey

Total amount of fertilizer consumed after the survey until final

harvesting

Total amount of salary paid in fertilizing the area after the survey
until final harvesting
Total cost of all the expenses:

FORMULA:
1. Amount of salary = (no. of days) (no. of workers) (amount of salary)
2. Total amount of fertilizer = (amount of fertilizer per kilo) (no. of kilos)
3. Total amount of salary = (no. of days) (no. of workers) (amount of salary)
4. Total amount of fertilizer = (amount of fertilizer per kilo) (no. of kilos)
5. Total amount of salary = (no. of days)(no. of workers)(amount of salary
