process. This will be an unforgettable experience to see
firsthand how the Legislature works for us as constituents.

Senate Joint Resolution No. 8. Introduced by the Committee
on Health and Human Services. Urges Congress not to repeal
the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act or its most
important provisions. End of resolution.

At this time I recognize Senator [Majority Leader].

Majority Leader:
Mr./Madam President, I move that all necessary rules be
suspended, that the reading so far had considered first
reading, rules further suspended, and that Senate Joint
Resolution No. 8 be declared an emergency measure under
the Constitution and placed at the top of the General File for
third reading and final passage this legislative day.

President:
According to the Nevada Constitution all bills and joint
resolutions must be read a total of 3 times and each reading
must be on a separate day by the Secretary of the Senate. In
this emergency circumstance, this motion seeks to waive
those requirements. This requires a 2/3 vote of all Senators.
You have heard the motion, all those in favor signify by
saying "Aye" (WAIT for responses). All those opposed say "No."
