• Due to shop capacity, students will not complete all the shop
sections in the same sequence.
• Each set will be divided into two subsets, ‘X’ and ‘Y’ of 10
students or less each.
• During any given week, the subset ‘X’ group will be doing
something different from the matching ‘Y’ group.
• Each set will be on a different rotation schedule.
• If your name does not appear on the list of subsets, send me an email
with your name, ID and set and I will issue you with an X or Y
• the two of you together must present your proposal to a lab instructor, or
myself, to have the records altered.
Students in set 2B, subset Y, have a welding lab the week of Jan 29th

• We follow the book quite closely (ie: worth buying) see lesson schedule.
• If you buy it and don’t want to keep it, sell it next year
• This course does not involve any direct homework assignments, but you are
strongly advised to review your lecture notes each day!
• Make sure you know which lab subset you are in, and when
and where your lab takes place next week
• Make sure you have safety glasses and CSA approved “green
triangle” footwear. If you show up to your lab without them
you will not be admitted.
