Mission: 2-11th Infantry Regiment (IBOLC) trains and develops Infantry Lieutenants to
become mentally, physically, and morally fit leaders who are prepared to lead Infantry
Platoons and win.
Course Purpose: IBOLC trains Infantry Officers to be Competent and Confident
leaders of Character who are Qualified and Ready to Lead Platoons in Combat.
Course Scope: The scope of this course is to develop Infantry Officers capable
of effective Communication, Critical Thinking, and Decision Making under Stress, and
Proficient at the Fundamentals of Maneuver through the lens of Infantry Tactics.
Outcomes Fundamentals
1) Character – The officer has the strength of
character to serve as the moral compass for the Leadership
small units they will lead.
2) Competence – The officer is able to conduct Tactics
Troop Leading Procedures and Battle Drills.
3) Confidence – The officer leads from the front in
fitness, communication, and critical thinking. Fitness
