Founded in 2014, IMPOWER Pty Ltd. is a specialist engineering, procurement and
project management contractor (EPCM) within the solar and energy storage industry
that serves the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) property sector by providing tailored
solar and storage energy solutions ranging between 100Kw and 1MW in size.
Our engineered solutions encompass world-leading products and engineering
methodologies while incorporating our set of value-based principles to ensure
that your system is built to last and matches your expectations. IMPOWER has
approximately 20Megawatts (MW) of active solar and battery storage sites located
in and around the continent of Africa, with a further 150MW under development.
Today, IMPOWER has grown to be a vertically integrated bespoke energy company
offering specialized project development, EPC and O&M services, with a clear goal
to alleviate energy poverty in Africa.

As a business made up of industry experts, we are constantly developing solutions
while finding the most suitable funding vehicles. We have a deep understanding
of the project development and energy project funding space and have developed
approximately 150MW of projects to date.
Solar Engineering, Procurement and Project Management

(EPCM)
IMPOWER has an in-house end-to-end capability to build a customized solar-powered
plant. Our team are seasoned experts with experience in successfully handling projects
involving every type of scenario. After delivering the functional solar system to you, our
team continue to perform regular checks and continuous maintenance to ensure your
solar system works at optimum efficiency.
Solar Operation & Maintenance (O&M)

We have a dedicated Operations & Maintenance team for all our projects that manage
our clients’ solar assets. In addition, our qualified team monitors and services the solar
assets, resulting in optimal power generation and maximum plant uptime.
Funding Solution
Packages
Capex/Purchase Option
• Our outright purchase option relies on the funding instrument/s provided by our clients
(i.e. loan through the bank, through their bank, cash reserves etc.). This model allows the
purchaser to own 100% of the solar system together with all the savings it generates.
• Typically, the Pay-Back period ranges between 2-5 years
• Section 12B Tax deduction attributable to the purchaser which increases yield (100%
deduction in Year 1)
• We provide monthly energy savings reporting & management services as a standard offer
• A routine Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contract can be added. Onsite staff can also be
trained should this be a requirement.

SATISFACTION RATINGS
1. Fully Funded Solution: Discounted Tariff
With this solution, we provide our clients with a discount on their
properties bulk tariff rate, providing cheaper energy rates at zero cost
over a 20-year term. The cost of the solar energy is based on fixed
percentage increases which are modelled to be lower than that of
Eskom’s tariff increases. In addition to this, we maintain, insure and
operate the system over the full term, thus de-risking the solution.
2. Fully Funded Solution: Roof Rental

With this option, we replace electricity savings with a monthly roof
rental fee based on the roof occupancy metrics of the solar panels.
In addition, these rental agreements are based on a 20-year term, of
which we will maintain, insure and operate the system over the term,
thus de-risking
