Good Morning Sir, I am Vasim Shaikh, from Pune. I am 42 years old. I have completed SSC
& HSC from SRVR School, Sangli with aggregate of 69% & 80% respectively. In year 2004,
I have completed my Bachelor of Engineering in Civil from Government College of
engineering, Karad affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur with aggregate of 65%. My
father is retired & was an Engineering Professor from Sakhrale Engineering College and my
mother is housewife. I have 3 siblings and I got married in 2007 and have 3 kids.
My strengths are hardworking, self-driven & self-motivated, workaholic (dedicated towards
my works), adaptable. And I am good in ERA (Explore, research & analysis) and also a fast
learner.
At Starting of my career, I was associated with ECP Housing India Pvt. Ltd as a Site
Engineer and with Vascon Engineers as a Project Engineer. Later on, I was associated with
Towell Construction and Co LLC based in Muscat for more than 11 years (from 2007 to
2018) as a Contracts Manager, With Jones Lang LaSalle based in Mumbai as a Project Lead
Manager (from 2019 to 2020) and handled all operational, contractual and project
procurement requirements. Since July'2020, I am currently associated with my client Built-up
Promoters and Developers based in Pune as a Freelancer Contracts Manager.
Working in various fields such as operations, contracts, procurement, costing, estimation,
billing for more than 15 years helped me to build confidence, provide inputs, willingness to
learn things not in scope and taught me the importance of team work.
I believe that my experience in handling team members, working under pressure and applying
raw and innovative ideas would make me a competitive candidate. I am willing to relocate

REASON FOR LEAVING PREVIOUS ORGANIZATION

I have learned a lot from my previous experience. The great exposure is key to the success.
When I was in TCC, I was made redundant because our company got merged with
mechanical company where the policies, environment are totally different and as a result of
which, lot of my responsibilities were reduced & transferred to different / different
departments which leads to reduction in exposure & in turn, reduction in learning, which I
cannot absorb.
I left JLL because of family issues and in current organization, I am getting payment in cash
& in bits & pieces. So I am looking for new challenging role where both my skills &
expertize will work more effectively. In span of 17 years of my career, I have spent more
time in Muscat (almost 12 years) & so I would prefer to work in Muscat to become more
expert.
Further, I am looking for new challenge & better opportunity to grow with the company and
to become more expert in job role offered to me & I can see the potential in this job.

CURRENT ROLE

I am currently associated with Builtup Promoters and Developers based in Pune and working
as a Contracts Manager and providing consulting services associated with PMC, Costing,
Quantity Estimates, and Contracts Drafting Services, Assistance for Project Sub Contracts
Management, Contractual Letters, Financial Assistance, Procurement, Project Cost
Controlling, Billing, Certification & final account closures.

WORKING IN CONTRACTS FIELD

I really love & enjoy while exploring, estimating, researching & analysing, forecasting the
things. I am great communicator & good mentor which is very important in this field.

DIFFICULT SITUATION FACED

In my previous experience with TCC, I sometimes had to find answers related to IT &
electrical items. So, I could often go on internet, read the blogs, meet the vendors related to
that field and gain knowledge. I enjoy learning and research is one of my hobby.
In construction field, I came across so many difficult situation and in handling all such
situations, I had to remain an unemotional, focussed on solution and keeping result oriented
approach (Assessment – Determining of Possible approaches – Taking Effective Decision).

FUTURE FROM NOW

Although it is hard to predict future. But in coming years ahead & with expertize I have, I
will surely become valued asset to the company.
