5.1 Summary
The research hypothesis which has clear objective of finding the impact of student’s
allowance and the time spent on study on their test score performance, it was found to be
statistically significant using single linear regression on both the variables when tested
individually and as well as when using multiple regression, both was found to be positively
significant. This depict that the result fit the model well.
5.2 Conclusions
The findings of this study form the basis for drawing the following conclusions. The
providing enough financial aids in tertiary institutions to encourage, motivate and assist
students’ in their academic life. The fact that financial aids correlate academic performance
is a clear indication on how student need financial aids bodies to provide any or substantial
amount of money aids that would cover their academic expenses and social needs which
instrument for change. This position is amplified in the Nigerian National Policy on

5.3 Recommendations
Based on the findings of this study, the following recommendations are made:
1. Governments (Federal, State and Local), private bodies (Shell, Texaco, Mobil e.t.c.),
philanthropist e.t.c. need to give more helping hand in providing adequate and
students’ academic progress. This will have positive impacts to our socio-economic
developments
2. Educational institutions (i.e. tertiary institutions) need not reliance in their effort to
provide sufficient/enough financial aids across the institutions, to enable easy access
(G.P.A/C.G.P.A)
3. There should be a close cooperation between the tertiary institutions administrators and
the Student Union Government (SUG). This will create an enabling environment that
would allow for the institution directly understanding and knowing of students needs in
