Welcome to my portfolio, capturing the amazing experience of a teaching internship. This
compilation captures my learnings, insights, and progress in the field of education and useful
teaching techniques. This portfolio is a demonstration of my commitment, knowledge, and
understanding of effective teaching strategies in actual classroom environments as a future
educator.
An integral part of the educational program, teaching internship is intended to provide practical
experience to students who will become future teachers in real classroom environments. Through
teaching, participation, and reflection in real-world classroom settings, this immersive teaching
internship aims to close the gap between academic learning and real-world application. We, the
student teachers, were given the opportunity to explore school settings, engage with teachers and
students, and experience first-hand understanding of the details involved in education throughout
our teaching internship. During a teaching internship, student teachers work alongside
experienced teachers to learn about classroom management, lesson planning, and teaching
strategies. We, as interns, may be responsible for creating lesson plans, delivering instruction,
and evaluating student progress. Teaching internship, serves as a pivotal platform for us student
teachers to examine and reflect on our teaching beliefs, philosophies, and strategies. The
experience I gathered this semester will greatly contribute to my development as a future
educator.

This introduction sets the stage for me, as a student teacher, to embark on a transformative
journey where I and my fellow teachers-to-be will actively engage in educational environments
and gain invaluable insights that will shape our future roles as educators.
Teaching in the Online Classroom
Doug Lemov and the Teach Like a Champion team
A timely guide to online teaching strategies from bestselling author Doug Lemov and the Teach
Like a Champion team

School closures in response to the covid-19 coronavirus pandemic resulted in an immediate and
universal pivot to online teaching. More than 3.7 million teachers in the U.S. were suddenly
asked to teach in an entirely new setting with little preparation and no advance notice. This has
caused an unprecedented threat to children’s education, giving rise to an urgent need for
resources and guidance. The New Normal is a just-in-time response to educators’ call for help.
Teaching expert Doug Lemov and his colleagues spent weeks studying videos of online teaching
and they now provide educators in the midst of this transition with a clear guide to engaging and
educating their students online.

Although the transition to online education is happening more abruptly than anyone anticipated,
technology-supported teaching may be here to stay. This guide explores the challenges involved
in online teaching and guides educators and administrators to identify and understand best
practices. It is a valuable tool to help you and your students succeed in synchronous and
asynchronous settings this school year and beyond.

 Learn strategies for engaging students more fully online

 Find new techniques to assess student progress from afar
 Discover tools for building online classroom culture, combating online distractions, and
more
 Watch videos of teachers building rigor and relationships during online instruction

The New Normal features real-world examples you can apply and adapt right away in your own
online classroom to allow you to survive and thrive online.
The pandemic has brought many unexpected changes to our daily lives, including the move to
online classes. At first, this is a daunting prospect, as many of us are used to the traditional
classroom setting. However, as a student, I realized that the online class was a good solution
during the pandemic. One of the biggest benefits of online classes is flexibility. We no longer
had to worry about commuting to school or finding a parking spot. Because of online classes, we
can attend class even if we are at home. That's why we saved more time and money. These
online classes are also helpful for students who have other activities besides studying, such as
work or family obligations.

While there are certainly challenges with online classes, such as technical issues and
communication barriers, teachers and students have worked together to overcome them.
Teachers had to adjust their teaching methods to adapt to the online environment, while students
had to adapt to new forms of interaction, such as online discussions and group projects. It's a
learning experience for everyone involved, and we all need to be patient and understanding as we
navigate the new landscape of online learning.

Despite the difficulties, the transition to online classes during the pandemic taught us important
lessons. We learned to be more independent and self-sufficient in our studies, and we developed
valuable digital skills that will be useful in the future. We also learned the importance of
flexibility and resilience in the face of unexpected challenges. Although we initially felt
apprehensive about the transition to online classes, we eventually got used to the change caused
by the pandemic. I learned in this situation that no matter what trials come to the world in the
future, it will not be a reason for the students to stop learning. because the people in charge of
education will find a way to not only hinder the learning of students like me.

During my teaching internship, I developed several beliefs about teaching and learning that will
guide my approach as an educator in the future.

First, I believe that every student is unique and has their own learning style and needs. As a
teacher, it is very important for me to recognize and address these differences in order to create
an inclusive and effective learning environment. By using a variety of teaching strategies, such
as differentiated instruction and personalized learning, I can ensure that all students have the
opportunity to develop and reach their full potential.

Second, I strongly believe in the power of active engagement and hands-on learning. Because
when I experienced teaching during my internship, I could see how students learn best when they
are actively involved in the learning process rather than passive recipients of information. By
incorporating interactive activities, group work, and real-world applications into my lessons, I
can gain a deeper understanding of the subject and foster critical thinking skills in my students.
Student. I also believe in providing opportunities for students to use their knowledge and skills in
practical contexts, as this helps them see the relevance and value of what they are learning.

Finally, I believe in the importance of creating a positive and supportive classroom setting. I
believe that students learn better when they feel safe, respected, and valued. By establishing clear
expectations, promoting open communication, and nurturing a sense of belonging, I can create a
classroom environment where students feel comfortable taking risks, asking questions, and
collaborating with their peers. I also believe in building positive relationships with my students
and getting to know them as individuals, as this allows me to better understand their strengths,
challenges, and interests and tailor my teaching accordingly.

This teaching philosophy and learning principles will serve as my guide as I begin my teaching
journey, and I pledge to continue to reflect and refine my practices to ensure the best possible
learning outcomes for my students.
