VI. RATIONALE:

The lac session on the National Mathematics Program is a strategically devised initiative
geared towards advancing mathematics education and pedagogy among teachers. The
rationale for this session is grounded in the recognition of the pivotal role mathematics plays
in fostering critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and analytical skills, which are integral
for students' academic and cognitive development. By aligning teachers with a nationally
recognized mathematics program, this session seeks to standardize and elevate the quality
of mathematics instruction across schools. The program aims to equip teachers with
updated curriculum insights, effective teaching methodologies, and assessment strategies
that align with national standards. Moreover, the session encourages collaborative learning
among educators, facilitating the sharing of best practices and insights for improved
mathematics education delivery. Ultimately, the National Mathematics Program lac session
aspires to empower teachers with the tools and knowledge required to enhance students'
mathematical proficiency, laying the foundation for a more mathematically literate and
competitive future workforce.

VII. OBJECTIVE/S:
At the end of this activity, the participants should be able:
a. demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the national mathematics standards.
b. implement a range of effective pedagogical strategies that cater to diverse learning
styles and abilities.
c. actively engage in professional development opportunities, sharing insights,
resources, and best practices related to the National Mathematics Program.

XII. Monitoring and Evaluation:

Monitoring and evaluation is an essential component of every activity. The committee


will ensure the smooth implementation of the training. The outcome determines the possible
solutions and recommendations that will improve the delivery of instructions to the learner.
After the training is completed, a narrative report and documentation will be submitted to the
District Office as mode of verification.
