3-3 Plaster trowels.
3-4 Gauging trowels.
3-5 Leveling to set out floor level.
3-6 Torch.

4- Materials:
4-1 Cement complies with E.S.
4-2 Sand Comply with E.S as fine aggregate must be clean, good gradation and free
from any organic or silt without any sulfate and periodically test shout be done

- to ensure it is compliant with project specifications

- Water (potable water 4-3)
- Bonding Agent (comply with E.s) and as project requirement 4-4
- Liquid Damp-roofing primer ( Nilocoat WB ) as approved material.
4-6 4-5 (Nilobet NT) Bituminous Waterproofing Membrane as
approved material.
- Chema foam thermal insulation density 29 kg/cm3 not less than 1.76 km2/w as
approved material
- Polyethylene sheet 250 micron
- Light-weight concert with maximum specific gravity (1800kg/m3)

5- Procedure:
5-1 Pre-work
5-1-1 Material receiving and storage:
5-1-1-1 Checking supplier’s certificates of compliance to
conform to specification and referenced Standards
prior to installation.

5-1-1-2 Checking supplier’s delivery tickets for compliance with

supply order and specification as thickness of sheet

5-1-1-3 Store materials at building site strictly according to

manufacturer’s instructions.

5-2 Work
5-2-1 Surface of roof will be finished by helicopter to make
surface smooth clean and free from all strange

5-2-2 Build a mortar fillet strip of using 20cm*20cm mortar

for fillet to contain bonding agent proportion of the
intersection of rc slab and wall

5-2-4 ensure that all pinholes and blowholes are filled and Allow surface to dry
according manufacture recommendations before proceeding with next step

5-2-5 Putting on membrane rolled adjustment and cutting as required.

5-2-6 Ensure substrate membrane surfaces are warmed either naturally or by

torch during the installation.by Apply heat evenly to underside of roll
membrane being installed or exposed side lap area of previously
installed sheet.

5-2-7 Provide for slight, uniform flow of bitumen in front of roll and full width of roll
as the material is being rolled or set into place and Apply uniform positive
pressure to ensure membrane is fully adhered and all laps are sealed before Prior
to forming lap over granulated surfaces, embed granules of the receiving sheet
by heating and troweling-in the granules to form a uniform black compound
surface Roll all lap areas with a weighted roller immediately after forming lap
and Provide for visual bleed out of compound in lap areas.

5-2-7 For horizontal waterproofing membrane two layers of 4mm thick modified shall
be laid fully torched on blinding concrete with minimum of 150mm horizontal
dir.

5-2-8 The membrane on the exposed external vertical surfaces shall be carried up to a
minimum of 150 mm above the finished level and tucked into a continuous
groove provided for the same and secured firmly with approved sealant/mastic
recommended by the manufacturer of the membrane.

5-2-10 The insulation membrane will be cut at the position of the drain, and then the
drain body will be installed by making two layers of insulation around the pipe
and locking it well to prevent water leakage

5-2-11 Service pipes protruding from slab, shall be suitably dressed around up to 200
mm height, and sealed at upper ends with lap sealant. Roof rain water outlets,
scupper type, shall be dressed and sealed at upper ends with lap sealant.

5-2-12 Make a layer of cement plaster on top of the membrane for protection

5-2-13 Putting thermal insulation foam on top of the cement plaster and covering it with
polyethylene

5-2-14 Dabs and shall will be put in on top of surface to curing for sloped light-
weight concrete according approved drawing

5-3 Post Work

5-3-1 Over all check for all finished area.
5-3-2 Warranty for roofing system shall be provided for not less than 10 years
after the acceptance of work
