Introduction and Objectives
Introduction and Importance of Subject
The term Typography is composed of two words ‘typo’ and ‘graphy’. ‘Typo” means impression
and ‘graphy’ means writing. Thus typography means writing in figures or letters through
printing form i.e. through Typewriter or Computer. The typography is a functional art
concerned with the design. It may also be used as a decorative device, unrelated to
communication of information. The main objectives of the typography are to type all the
documents with a proper speed, rhythm and touch methods on the computer and other
compatible devices and their features.
Importance of using MS-Excel

MS-Excel is windows based application package. It provides powerful tools and features that
can be used to analyze, share and manage your data with ease. It displays a table of numbers
and text in rows and columns and used for accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, and other
wok with figures. It automatically recalculates the result of mathematical formulae if the source
data changes.
Importance of using MS PowerPoint

Ms-PowerPoint helps to develop dynamic, easy to create, professional presentation. It can be


used to create and organize slide shows, speaker notes, handouts. It is used in the corporate
sector to present project plans. It is also used in education for teaching and presenting the topic
in an effective manner by using various visual effects.
Importance of Correspondence and Manuscript

Correspondence is the most important channel through which communications takes place. It
may be either written or digital. It is of two types Business Communication and Official
Communication. Manuscript is any document in type written or hand written form which are
corrected before sending to the publisher for its publication. These are drafts which may read
and corrected many times before final publications. There are various proof correction signs
which are used while proof reading.
