that makes it extremely easy for developers to
create a local web server for testing and
deployment purposes.
• It makes transitioning from a local test server
to a live server extremely easy as well.
• XAMPP is regularly updated to incorporate the
latest releases of Apache, MariaDB, PHP and
Perl. It also comes with a number of other

Feasibility Study :
A feasibility study is a test of a system proposal
according to its workability impact on
organization, ability to meet user needs and
effective use of resources. The objective of a
feasibility study is not to solve a problem but to
acquire a sense of its scope. During the study, the
problem definition is crystallized and the aspects
of the problem to be included in the system are
determined. After the initial investigation of the
system that helped to have in-depth study of the
existing system, understanding its strength and
weaknesses and the requirements for the new
proposed system
i) Behavioral feasibility
People are inherently resistant to change and
computers have been known to facilitate change.
There is always some reluctance among the users
against the introduction of new system but they
were told that this system would eliminate the
unnecessary overhead of database migration and
conversion, which presently had to be carried out
on daily basis to facilitate transactions between
the different departments. The objective this
feasibility phase is to take the operational staff
into confidence.

20 | P a g e
P a g e | 21

ii) Schedule feasibility

Time evaluation is the most important
consideration in the development of project. The
time schedule required for the development of the
project is very important of other systems. A
reliable Human Resource Database Management
System can be developed in a considerably
appropriate amount of time.
iii) Economic feasibility
Economic feasibility is the most frequently used
method for evaluating the effectiveness of the
candidate system. More commonly known as cost\
benefit analysis, the procedure is to determine the
benefits and savings that are expected from a
candidate system and compare them with the
costs. If benefits outweigh the costs, then the
decision is made to design and implement the
system. A cost\benefit analysis was done for the
proposed system to evaluate whether it would be
economically viable or not.
iv)Technical feasibility
21 | P a g e
P a g e | 22

Technical feasibility centers on the existing

computer system.(Hardware/software) and to
what extent it can support the proposed addition
also the organization already has sufficient high-
end machines to serve the processing
requirements of the proposed system. So there is
no need to purchase new software as the
organization has necessary software i.e.
tomcat5.0, j2ee1.4, Microsoft SQL Server or
hardware to support the proposed system

Proposed methodology and planning :

The process of software development services in
India goes through a series of stages in step wise
fashion that almost every developing company
follows. Known as the ‘software development life
cycle,’ these six steps include planning, analysis,
design, development & implementation, testing &
deployment and maintenance. Let’s study each of
these steps to know how the perfect software is
developed.

1. Planning: Without the perfect plan, calculating the

strengths and weaknesses of the project,
development of software is meaningless. Planning
kicks off a project flawlessly and affects its
progress positively.

2. Analysis: This step is about analysing the

performance of the software at various stages and
making notes on additional requirements. Analysis
is very important to proceed further to the next
step.

3. Design: Once the analysis is complete, the step of

designing takes over, which is basically building
the architecture of the project. This step helps
remove possible flaws by setting a standard and
23 | P a g e
P a g e | 24

attempting tosticktoit.

4. Development & Implementation: The actual task of

developing the software starts here with data
recording going on in the background. Once the
software is developed, the stage of implementation
comes in where the product goes through a pilot
study to see if it’s functioning properly.

5. Testing: The testing stage assesses the software

for errors and documents bugs if there are any.

6. Maintenance: Once the software passes through

all the stages without any issues, it is to undergo a
maintenance process wherein it will be maintained
and upgraded from time to time to adapt to
changes. Almost every software development
Indian company follows all the six steps, leading to
the reputation that the country enjoys in the
software market today.

Challenges Faced:

Problem 1: Unnoticed Work

It goes without saying that one does well in any
field because they expect recognition. As an
intern, you might be doing very good but still, find
yourself in a position where your part is hardly
appreciated. That can clearly be somewhat
discouraging.
Problem 2: Uncooperative Mentor
How much you learn from your internships depend
largely on your mentor. If your mentor takes you
seriously and helps you learn, your internship can
be truly productive.
But on the contrary, if they are uncooperative, it
can be one of the greatest internship challenges
for you to face.
Problem 3: Issues with Time Management /
Self-Management
It’s your first job kind of experience. Reaching late
for classes and late submissions of assignments
was tolerated by your college professors.
But in a professional workspace it isn’t acceptable
and hence managing time can be really difficult

33 | P a g e
P a g e | 34

for you. A balance between work, academics, and

personal life also seems to be a challenge.

Problem 4: Allotment of trivial work

This is one of the commonest internship
challenges faced by a large number of interns.
While you might expect to be an important part of
the organization, you are often offered just
assisting jobs to your seniors and mentors.
Problem 5: Inadequate Compensation
You accepted an internship thinking that there
won’t be much pressure and the compensation
would be sufficient for it. But after you actually
start, you realize the pay is far lesser than the
work deserves.
Problem 6: Hesitant to Ask Questions
Communication is one of those internship
challenges that can actually hinder your internship
time.
You might land a really good internship but upon
starting you realize that the work environment is
excessively grave and professional. In such an

34 | P a g e
P a g e | 35

environment, you find it difficult to ask questions

for the fear of being judged.
Problem7: Competitive Co-interns
Your co-interns are high-spirited and work really
hard. You feel intimidated as you didn’t expect
your internship to be so competitive.

Problem 8: Overwhelmed with Work

Many firms hire lesser interns than required and
put up the entire work load on the few. If you
happen to join such firms, you will feel
overwhelmed to be trusted with so much work
when you aren’t even familiar to working in a
professional setting.

Future Scope :
 This application stores information about all the
employees.
 This application stores information about all the
activities.
 This application generates different reports
automatically.

35 | P a g e
P a g e | 36

 We can view any records very easily.

 The application displays the detailed information
about menu and their cost.
 Reduces the paper work, manual efforts and time
required for taking the order.
The databases in the standalone application are
dynamic. They are updatable. Each employee is
assigned with unique username and password.
