Introduction
North End Coffee Roasters is your single source for fresh-roasted coffee in Bangladesh. “North
End” alludes to both to our location in the North part of Dhaka and our roots in the famous Italian-
American “North End” of Boston.
Begun in 2011, we offer both premium quality single-origin coffees from around the world and
locally-grown blends. Our emphasis is quality roasting, drawing from years of experience in the
industry.
The story of North End starts a long time ago when Rick Hubbard (Company owner) used to be a
manager of Starbucks. After that he realizes he can open his own café restaurant and he can also
cultivate coffee because Rick knew how to roast coffee. Then he came to this country saw a big
opportunity for this kind of business.
North End Coffee Roasters is their single source for fresh-roasted coffee in Bangladesh. "North
End" situated at the North part of Dhaka and our roots in the famous Italian-American "North End"
of Boston.
By consistently producing high-quality items over the years, North End has been able to achieve
a competitive edge over its rivals. The business must now continue to follow through on its total
quality management strategy and continue to produce goods that customers like if it hopes to keep
this competitive edge. By communicating with customers and showing them loyalty through high-
quality coffee, North End can discover what they want. Working with the branch managers,
engaging with the community, and learning about their interests and hobbies can all lead to this
kind of relationship. Being a customer-driven business, North End places a great priority on
meeting the demands of its patrons, which has helped to build the coffee shop's stellar reputation.

2. Brunches of North End Coffee Roasters


North end coffee roasters have several brunches all over the Bangladesh including Dhanmondi,
Gulshan, Banani, Baridhara, Ukhiya etc serve the same menus to their customers. Some of their

While earnings and salaries are examples of benefits, compensation includes things like health
insurance, paid time off, and pension plans. The significance of benefits and pay lies in their

a competitive salary and benefits package.

5.1 Salary allowance


Salary allowance, also known as a salary supplement or additional compensation, is an additional
payment made to an employee on top of their regular salary. This allowance is often given to
employees as a reward for exceptional performance, special skills, or for taking on extra
responsibilities within their role. It can also be used as a retention tool to incentives high-
performing employees to stay with the organization. While salary allowances can be beneficial in
motivating employees and recognizing their contributions, organizations must ensure that these
allowances are fair, transparent, and allocated based on objective criteria. North end coffee roasters
ensures salary always on time.

5.2 Provident Fund


To take advantage of GDPS, all employees must be long-term employees, all though they hire
mostly part time students with long time progress plan, they offer shifting duties. When it comes
to provident funds, the individual typically contributes 10% of their base salary, while the firm
also contributes a similar amount. At the end of three-year work tenure, the GRPS is considered
to have matured. Switching part time to full time employee on the consideration of GDPS.

5.3 Festive Bonus


Two festival bonuses are available to each employee of the company; these bonuses are equivalent
to one month's "gross salary." A bonus equivalent to half of a month's (gross) pay is given to each
employee of the company. The impacted workers have to be paid by the business on the payout
date. During the pandemic, all employees are entitled to two festival bonuses, regardless of
company fluctuations. Moreover festival bonus percentages are different for full time and part time
employees.

5.4 Meal Allowance


The company provides meal services to its employee’s one full meal that is divided equally
between the employer and the employee. As it is known as coffee shop mostly they are offering
coffee tea upon employee demand.

5.5 Transportation and Mobile Allowance
North end coffee roasters are responsible for providing transportation allowances as per their shift
basis. Those who are working on regular shift they provide them transportation allowances along
with their salary, on the other hand those who work for early morning and late night shift they
provide companies own transport.
Both part time and permanent employees receive mobile allowance based on their positional
entitlements. The employee's position affects the amount of their mobile allowance. Due to the
requirement that they text and contact with candidates, all employees in the recruiting and selection
department must be given a mobile phone allowance. Thus, the most important consideration for
the department of recruitment and selection is the mobile allowance.

6. Conclusion
North End has a competitive advantage which it has obtained against its competitors by providing
quality products over the years. The company now needs to maintain this competitive advantage
by continuously following through with their total quality management approach and producing
products consumers love. North End can learn what the consumers want by interacting with them
and being loyal to them by providing quality coffee. This interaction can occur by working with
the branch managers working and communicating with the community and finding out what they
like and enjoy. North End, being a customer-driven organization, has a strong focus on customer
needs and this is what earns this coffeehouse the high reputation it has today.
