Hard to see, easy to startle. Nearly impossible to distinguish


from a plant, the thistling uses camouflage to hide from bigger
predators. Not that this seems to be necessary: If provoked,
the thistling falls into a frenzy-like state, completely in
accordance with the motto “offense is the best defense“.
And the last thing adventurers want is a raging thistling
burying its teeth into their skin. – Experience has shown,
that once it locks jaws, it doesn‘t let it go… If on is still
looking for a thistling, sun-drenched meadows and fields
might be the best bet.

T H IST L I NG Pesky Beast. While attached to a creature, if the thistling


makes a successful saving throw against a spell, a spell attack
