submitted. The submissions need to be approved by client along with the shade approvals
and if there are any specifications change the same needs to be intimated well in advance
and changes if any will cause impact on the completion schedule.
Fabrication drawings will be produced for internal use. The fabrication drawings will indicate
the requirements of profiles, cutting sizes, drilling etc., preparation of working details,
finishes, assembly of units, fabrication of elements and details for purchasing of materials.

the schedule.
Raise the MIR & Once the MIR approval is obtained, materials shall be moved to the
worksite partially or completely.
Individual panels shall be lifted off the pallet by two people holding all four corners
and not drawn over each other. Carry the panels vertically. Wear gloves to avoid
staining.
If ACP panel stored in outside, prior to installing the panels shall be stored at room
temperature for at least one day to ensure the dimensional accuracy of the
component.
Condition of storage and availability of material shall be periodically verified by site
Engineer / store in-charge to maintain the stock & control the material damages.
While shifting Louvers manually, care should be taken that the rope shall not rub
against the edge of any structural members. Louvers shall be shifted by using

Master’ datum level (FFL) should be made available on each floor level and outside
the building lines in all elevations allowing all parties to transfer as appropriate.
The surveyor has to set out the facade as per the approved drawings in coordination
with structural, MEP & Architectural drawings.
Site surveying shall be carried out to verify the opening sizes, line and levels in-
accordance with the approved shop drawings and each and every nodes (3D
dimension) of the structure. The variations (if any) shall be highlighted and control
measures shall be taken under the direction of the arch & client
All the measurements taken to record the deviations

tolerance limits.
Once the alignment is ensured as per drawing, application of sealant shall be started
with well skilled workmanship.
Check for application of weather sealant with backer rod as per approved shop
drawing.
Sealant Application
Surface preparation / cleaning procedure:
Remove all loose material (such as dirt and dust), plus any oil, frost or other
contaminants from the substrates where Silicone Sealant adhesion is required.
When cleaning deep, narrow joints, wrap the cleaning cloth around a clean, narrow
blade spatula / putty knife. This permits force to be applied to the surface to be
cleaned.
Clean only as much area as can be sealed within an hour (shorter in dustier
environment).
If cleaned areas are again exposed to rain or contaminants, the surface must be
cleaned again.
Change to clean rags frequently as they become soiled. Small white rags are
preferred as it is easy to see the soiling as they can be discarded after each cleaning.
Cover any horizontal surface below the sealant application area with drop cloths, to
prevent the excess sealant removed during tooling operations from staining the area.
1-part Sealant can be dispensed directly from the cartridge / Sausage Pack, using
either manual or air operated caulking gun.
Sealant should be applied in one complete operation along the joint by pushing the
bead ahead of the nozzle, making sure that the cavity is completely filled before
moving forward. The speed of application should not be too fast to avoid air pockets
or voids along the joint.
Tooling should be done immediately after sealant application. Use a clean, round
headed metal or plastic tool to tool the sealant surface neatly.
Do not tool with water, soap or detergent solution as this might contaminate the
uncured sealant near the surface.
Remove the masking tapes immediately after tooling is completed.
Fixing the Spider fittings to Glass fin and erecting the Spider glass and arresting with
articulated bolts.
Alignment of vertical and horizontal groove is checked all the Articulated bolts are
tightened to the required torque.
Once internal checking carried out by QA/QC, the installation shall be offered for
inspection and then installation shall be checked and approved by the client
Post approval of glass installation, silicone sealant to be applied in grooves and it
should be smooth finish.
Inspection of the complete Spider Glazing by client would follow post inspection by in
house QA/QC
LOUVER ASSEMBLY
SEALANT APPLICATION
Ensure the surface to be sealed is sound dry and free from any dirt or contaminate
Joint and space to be sealed shall in no case be less the 6mm deep or more the 12mm deep and
should exceed 15mm width.
After completion of work inspection request to be raised and ensure its approval from the client
House Keeping
Work place shall be clean and tidy.
All hand tools and associated materials should be stored away from the working place
when not in use.
Area cleaning near the workplace will be done daily basis for maintaining the area of
work operation in tidy and work manlike condition and maintaining conditions in the
areas of operation suitable for installation.
After completion of the work, the site engineer & supervisor who perform an activity are
required to raise an INR with a complete attachment & information regarding the scope of
the inspection, including necessary drawings highlighted to show the scope of the
inspection. He shall systematically check and inspect their work. The inspection shall be
performed according to the approved typical Inspection Checklist and Inspection and Test
Plans (ITP).
After the site engineer & supervisor complete their inspection and testing, INR shall be
submitted to QA/QC Department which shall check and process the documents to have the
completed work inspected by the supervision consultant for their approval.
Note: INR must be processed and submitted to the supervision consultant 24 hours before
the actual inspection and/or witnesses.
The contractor shall provide the required documents for the consultant’s approval prior to
initiating the execution of this activity as per project specifications.
The quality control requirement shall include related QCPs, ITP, and other related
documents as applicable.
All the above shall be conducted in close coordination with the quality department to
monitor any deviations from the normal quality requirement and induce corrective actions
whenever required to eliminate non-conformance or quality deviations.
All remedial actions to be taken, if any, shall take into account the official schedule which is
to be used as a guideline for performance and most importantly under the close
supervision of the quality control department.
