COMMON TYPES OF ASSERTION
1. BASIC ASSERTION
directly expresses the writer’s feelings and beliefs through simple statements

2. EMPHATIC ASSERTION
Recognizes the situation where the
Philippines has already their writing
Ex. system.
Composed of 3 parts:
First part: contains accurate information for the text
Second part: includes the effect or feeling of the writer towards the text
