DOCUMENTING AND STRUCTURING A MAPLE DOCUMENT

You can insert text into your worksheet. You can document your steps you take in solving a problem. Text can be

formatted mathematics into a worksheet and add sections and subsections.

Adding Text to A Maple Document in Worksheet Mode

In Worksheet mode, at a Maple prompt [>, you can press Ctrl + T to switch from a Maple

input region to a text region. The > prompt disappears in a text region. Alternatively,

Create Document Block.

Likewise, in Document mode, you can “switch” to Worksheet mode by inserting command prompts (execution groups)
(see below).

Ctrl + J, or alternatively, from the Insert menu, select Execution Group, then After Cursor.

You can press the (Indent) button anywhere in the worksheet to insert a section.

Alternatively, place the cursor in the paragraph or execution group above the location where you would like to insert a
new section. If the cursor is inside a section, Maple inserts the new section below the current section (subsection). If the
cursor is in an execution group, Maple inserts the new section after the execution group. From the Insert menu, select
Section. A  or  marks the start of the section.
You can enter a section title if you like to the right of the  or .

o To collapse a section, click on the  (it changes to )

o To expand a section, click the  box (it changes to )

o You can insert subsections with the Insert → Section menu selection or button.
