Course Overview & Requirements

Course Overview & Requirements

This course is divided into four required modules or weeks of content. We suggest you complete a
module each week. Modules 1 - 4 contain:

 Lecture videos with in-video quizzes: These videos provide the core content of the course
and include ungraded quiz questions that provide a quick way to check whether you understand
key concepts in the video. You can find the slides that accompany each lesson video in the Re-
sources section of the course page.
 Interviews: Experts in the field--Laura Klein, Drew Conway, and Casey Lichtendahl--share their
experiences and knowledge. Quizzes are NOT based on these videos, although watching these
videos will enhance your understanding of key concepts and practices.

 Quizzes: You'll complete a 10-question graded quiz at the end of each module based on the
lecture videos. Once you've completed each quiz, you'll get feedback on your responses to help
you understand why an answer is correct or incorrect. You have three chances per day to pass
each quiz; questions vary on each attempt. Your highest score is used to calculate your final
grade.

Each quiz constitutes 15% of your final grade and you are required to pass each quiz to pass the
course. Minimum passing grade: 80%

 Resources: Links to readings and tutorials and copies of the PowerPoint slides are provided in
the "Resources" section of the course (in the navigation column to the left). Check them out!
 Peer-reviewed assignments: You will complete a peer-reviewed assignment in Week 3. This
assignment provides an opportunity for you to apply agile practices to a project of your choice.
Once you've uploaded an assignment, you'll be asked to peer review three of your classmates'
work before receiving a grade on your own assignment. Remember, your careful review and
feedback not only helps your classmate better understand the material--it helps deepen your
understanding as well. Please note: Your assignment will not be graded until you have com-
pleted three peer reviews and received three peer reviews of your assignment.

The peer-reviewed assignment constitutes 40% of your final grade and you are required to pass
each assignment to pass the course. Minimum passing grade: 80%

 Assessment formula Final grade = 60% quizzes + 40% peer-reviewed assignment; passing
grade = 80%

Earning a Course Certificate

A Course Certificate demonstrates your mastery of course concepts and allows you to progress
through the Specialization. To earn this certificate, you'll need to watch all videos and earn at least
