● write learning/lesson plans using the specified learning competencies reflections, and effective
communication skills.

Writing My Learning/ Lesson Plans

Lesson Plan Learning Plan - This refers to the blueprint of the daily teaching and learning activities. It is a
step-by-step guide which helps teachers in maintaining the quality of instruction. Lesson plans consist of
essential components such as learning outcomes, learning content, resources and procedures. An
effective lesson plan has a great impact on the teaching- learning process. It is a must that teachers plan
their lessons effectively to ensure a successful instructional experience. There are three types of lesson
plans: detailed, semi detailed and brief.

Some schools design their own lesson plan template which includes their vision, mission, goals and
core values.

The Department of Education has provided templates for Detailed Lesson Plan (DLLP) and Daily Lesson
Log (DLL). This was done to institutionalize instructional planning which is vital to the teaching- learning
process. Guidelines were formulated to assist teachers in planning, organizing and managing their
lessons to meet the needs of the diverse learners.

Teachers must also keep in mind that in stating the learning outcomes, the three domains must be
considered (Cognitive, Affective and Psychomotor). Outcomes must be stated in terms that are specific,
measurable, attainable, realistic and time-bound (SMART). The cognitive domain includes remembering,
understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating and creating.

When writing lesson plans, the learning outcomes, activities and assessment must be constructively
aligned. The instructional strategies used must help in the attainment of the learning outcomes. The
modes of assessment must determine if the outcomes were attained at the end of the lesson.

With all these information in mind, you are all set in writing your lesson plan. Based on the instructions
given by your Cooperating Teacher, prepare your lesson plan (s) based on the learning competencies of
the lesson. Consider the age appropriateness and level of communication of your students.

Request lesson plan exemplars/lesson plan templates from your Resource Teacher. If not available, you
can make use of the basic components of a lesson plan.

NOTICE
1. What difficulties did you meet in writing your lesson/learning plans?
One of the biggest challenges I faced while writing my lesson plans was ensuring that they were
engaging and relevant for all pupil's . I wanted to create activities that would spark curiosity and
encourage active participation, but I also needed to ensure that the content was appropriate for
their age and learning levels. Finding the right balance between challenging and accessible
content was a constant consideration. Another difficulty was incorporating technology
effectively. I wanted to use online tools and resources to enhance learning, but I needed to
make sure they were user-friendly and wouldn't create unnecessary barriers for pupil's.
Ultimately, I strived to create lesson plans that were both effective and enjoyable for everyone.

2. What feedback was/were given by your Resource Teacher in your first draft / succeeding
lesson/learning plans?
My Resources teacher' said my lesson plans were good, but she wanted me to add more ways
for kids to work together and learn in different ways. She also told me to use more fun online
tools and make sure the activities really showed what kids learned.

3. What were the best features/areas for improvement of your/lesson learning plans?
-A great lesson plan has clear goals, fun activities, ways to help kids learn in different ways, and tests that
match what they should learn. But, sometimes teachers can make their plans even better by thinking
about how long things take, making sure the information is deep enough, how to keep the classroom
organized, helping kids learn step-by-step, and using different kinds of tests. By doing these things,
teachers can make learning more exciting and helpful for their pupil's.

ANALYZE
Analyze the various components of your lesson plans by answering the given matrix. Take note that
you must have provisions to do this lesson on a face-to-face, modular or through online learning.

lives and interests. Give them choices about how
they want to learn or what they want to work on,

forget the power of technology! Incorporate
videos, games, or interactive websites to make
learning more dynamic. And most importantly,

learning from home.

pictures, examples, and real-life situations to help
them understand the concepts. This made the

are two examples:

1. Analysis and Evaluation:

- Question: "Imagine you are the main character

in this story. How would you feel if you were in
their situation? Why?"
- Explanation: This question requires students to
analyze the character's emotions and
motivations, and then evaluate their own
perspective. They must think critically about the
character's actions and the consequences of their
choices.

- Assessment: Students will be asked to
present their model to the class and explain

collaborate on projects using tools like Google
Docs or shared online whiteboards. I'll make sure
all the online activities are engaging and
interactive, so learning feels just as good as being
in the classroom!
REFLECT
Why is lesson planning an integral part of the instructional cycle?

Lesson planning is like a roadmap for teaching. It helps teachers: Know what they want students to learn.
Organize the lessons in a clear way- Make sure everyone can learn, even if they learn differently.Check
how students are doing and give them feedback.-Think about what worked well and how to
improve.Keep the classroom running smoothly. When teachers take the time to plan their lessons
carefully, they can create lessons that are fun, helpful, and make students learn and grow.

OBSERVE

The problems/ challenges I encountered in writing my learning lesson plans.

-Making lesson plans can be tricky! Here are some of the things that make it hard: Knowing exactly what
you want students to learn- Making sure everyone can learn, even if they learn in different ways. Picking
the right tests to see if students understand.Finding the best things to use for teaching.Making sure the
lesson is the right length.Being ready to change the plan if something comes up.It takes a lot of thinking
and trying new things to get better at making lesson plans. But when you do, you can make learning fun
and helpful for your students!

REFLECT

I hope to achieve to address these problems and challenges by

To overcome the challenges I face when writing lesson plans, I'm going to use a variety of
strategies. I'll set clear goals, make sure my lessons work for all learners, check how students are
doing along the way, and build a collection of helpful resources. I'll also learn to manage my
time better, connect with other teachers for support, use technology in my teaching, and ask
students what they think. By reflecting on my lessons and learning from other educators, I'll
become a more effective teacher and create engaging learning experiences for my students..

PLAN

Some strategies/solution/means that I can employ to improve these situations problems

To make better lesson plans, I'll focus on clear goals, helping all kids learn, checking if they
understand, collecting helpful resources, managing my time, working with other teachers, using
technology, listening to students, thinking about what works, and learning new things.

WORK ON MY ARTIFACTS
Paste one (1) lesson plan and write your simple reflection.
Creating a lesson plan is important for guiding learning and keeping students engaged. I had to think
about what I wanted my students to learn and make sure it matched what they should be learning. I also
thought about how different students learn best and planned activities that would work for everyone.
This showed me that teaching the same way to everyone doesn't work. It's better to be flexible and
change things up to help students who are struggling. I also thought about what could go wrong in class
and how to deal with it. This helped me feel more prepared to keep things positive and focused on
learning. The lesson plan is not just a plan for teaching, but also a way for me to see how I'm doing as a
teacher and get better at it. It helped me understand how complicated lesson planning is and how
important it is to keep thinking about how to improve my teaching.
