Awards
◦ Is given to artist to recognize a single achievement or the career
as a whole.
◦ Award is given on single achievement won through competitions
or contest.
◦ Many contemporaryfilipino artist started their careers by joining
and wimminh awards from competition.
◦ Some awards are given to artists to acknowledge their talent to
their contributions to the crafts.
◦ The most prestigious and respected of these awards are the
TOYm,Gawad CCP para sa sining,TAA,Ateneo art award and the
highest which are order national artist award and GAMABA.
Art Criticism and Scholarship
◦ It is the most related aspects in the production of art whether visual pr
performing.
◦ Art Criticism is an evaluation of an artwork based om its artistic merits and its
historical amd cultural importance.
◦ Art Scholarship orderly lrganization and study of art.It also include
documentation and authentication form.
Art Education

◦ Art education transfer of knowledge,skills, and art appreciation from a


teacher yo a student.
◦ Formal Education pertains to teaching done in a specified venue such
as a school..
◦ Art education in schools was only officially included in the curriculum in
1960.
Media
◦ Visual art component that pertains to the materials the artist uses for his/her
artwork.There are many different types of media that artist can uses at hhisher
disposal.
◦ The most common and traditional examples of media used by contemporary
artists are clay, wood, metal stone, fiber, dye and paint.
◦ The newer media types are computer technology,light,trash etc.
◦ There is really no limit on the type or kind of medium a contemporary visual
artist could use. The boundary is all left to his/her imagination.
Organization
◦ Are formed when people of common goals band together for a cause.
◦ They also form organization to protect each others right and voice out
concerns that affect them as visual artist.
◦ Asian Cultural Council an international organization that began in 1963.
◦ Asian Cultural council Philippine foundation which was created in 2000
Art Patronage
◦ The purchase or commission of an artwork is called art
patronage.It can also be used describe the financial funding
given by an individual or organization to an artist.

Aspects of production for performing arts
Audience, Time, Space
◦ Audience is the viewers of the performance.
◦ It performed in differ venue and different occasions.
Award and Grants

◦ Award is given to performing artist it comes in trophies, medal, certificate or


cash

◦ Grant is given to performing artist to aid them in developing their crafts.

◦ Commission are financial compensations given to performing artist to create


a song, dance or a play.
Criticism
◦ Pertains to the evaluation and examination of the
creation,expression and meaning of the
creation,expression and meaning of the particular price
or performance.
◦ The one who receive and all raises the performance is
called a critic.
◦ Critic is a review or an insight on the performance.
Organization

◦ Are formal and informal groupings of artists and or


enthusiastic created to support and appreciate their
chosen craft.
