Cloud computing involves storing and accessing data and programs over the Internet instead of a local computer's hard drive. It offers advantages like cost savings, mobility, and collaboration. Public clouds are available to anyone, private clouds are within an organization, and hybrid clouds combine aspects of both.

What is Cloud Computing?
Cloud computing is
defined as the storage,
management,
processing, and
accessing information
and other data stored in
a specific server.
It is a pay-per-use model for enabling available,
convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of
configurable computing resources.

Architecture:
The cloud computing architecture is comprised of two
significant parts:

1)Front end:
It is the side at which the user of the computer or the client himself
is able to access.

2)Back end:
It is the cloud itself, which is the collection of all related information
saved in the servers that the client wishes to have access to.

These two ends are connected through a network, usually


the Internet, because it provides remote access to all the users of the
cloud.
3 Cloud Delivery Models
• Cloud Software as a Service (SaaS)
- Use provider’s applications over a network.
- Ex:- Gmail, GoogleCalender, Payroll, IBM Lotus Live.

• Cloud Platform as a Service (PaaS)


- Deploy customer-created applications to a cloud.
- Ex:- Middleware, Intergation, Messaging, Information,
connectivity, IBM Virtual images, Google Appengine

• Cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)


- Rent processing, storage, network capacity, and other
fundamental computing resources.
- Ex:- IBM Blue house, VMWare, Amazon EC2, Microsoft Azure
