b. Coronary Circulation d. Both a and c
13. How do the circulatory and respiratory systems work together to circulate blood and oxygen throughout
the body?
a. Air moves in and out of the lungs through the trachea , bronchi, and bronchioles.
b. Blood moves in and out of the lungs through the pulmonary arteries and veins that connect
to the heart.
c. Both a and b.
d. Neither a nor b

GUIDE QUESTIONS:
Q2. What happens to the two small balloons inside as you pull down the
balloon at the bottom of the model?
As the balloon at the bottom of the model was pulled down, the balloon
inside expands or inflated.
The air pressure inside the bottle is lowered by increasing the space inside
the balloon. The outside air enters through the tube, which makes the two
balloons inside the bottle “chest” to expand.
GUIDE QUESTIONS:
Q3. What happens to the two small balloons as you push up the balloon?
As the balloon was pushed up, the balloon deflates and return to their
original size.
The air pressure inside the bottle is increased by decreasing the space inside
the balloon. The air exits through the tube, which makes the two balloons
inside the bottle return to their original size. The diaphragm and the chest
cavity relax and return to its original size and place. There is now less space
and greater pressure inside the lungs.
Q4. How does the movement of the diaphragm cause the
air to go in and out of the lungs?
increases
When we exercise, our breathing rate 1. _________ . We breathe
faster and 2. __________.

of our body and get rid of 4. ______________

and 5. __________. The
oxygen we breathe combines with glucose to release energy. This
heat
energy can be released as 6.__________. This is why we feel 7. _____
hot
and sweaty.

2. What was your breathing rate after the exercise?
3. How would you differentiate your breathing rates before and after exercising?
4. When do you breathe faster? Why do you think you breathe faster during more
vigorous activities?

Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun and the Venus has a beautiful name and is the second planet
smallest one in the Solar System—it’s only a bit from the Sun. It’s terribly hot—even hotter than
larger than our Moon. The planet’s name has nothing Mercury—and its atmosphere is extremely
to do with the liquid metal since it was named after poisonous. It’s the second-brightest natural object in
the Roman messenger god, Mercury the night sky after the Moon
