Kushal Cloud Computing

This document provides an overview of cloud computing. It defines cloud computing as internet-based computing where computer system resources like data storage and computing power are available on demand without direct active management by the user. It describes the main types of cloud computing as infrastructure as a service, platform as a service, and software as a service. The document outlines advantages like reduced costs and on-demand access, and disadvantages like security risks and reliance on internet connectivity. It provides an example of how cloud computing works with a front-end enabling users to access cloud-stored data via a browser or software.

Cloud Computing

• In Cloud Computing, the word Cloud means internet. Cloud

computing refers to Internet-based computing
•  Cloud computing is the on-demand availability of computer
system resources, especially data storage and computing power,
without direct active management by the user.
• In cloud computing, different services like servers, storage, and
applications are delivered to an organization’s computers and
devices through the Internet. 3
Types of Cloud Computing
• Infrastructure as a service(iaas):iaas as a service are online
services that provide high-level API (acronym for application
programming interface) is used to dereference various low-level
details of underlying network infrastructure like physical
computing resources, location, scaling, security , backup etc.
• Example : DigitalOcean, , Amazon Web Services (AWS), Cisco
Metapod,  Google Compute Engine (GCE) etc.
4
Platform as a service(paas):
• Platform as a service(paas) platform-based service is a category
of cloud computing services that provides a platform  allowing
customers to develop, run, and manage applications without the
complexity of building and maintaining the infrastructure
typically associated with developing and launching an app.
• Example : Force.com, Google App Engine, OpenShift.

5
Software as a service:
• Software as a service (SaaS) is a software distribution model in
which a third-party provider hosts applications and makes them
available to customers over the Internet.
• . SaaS is one of three main categories of cloud computing,
alongside infrastructure as a service and platform as a service.
• Example : BigCommerce, Google Apps, Hubspot etc.
6
Advantage:

• Reduced it costs
• On-Demand Self-service
• Multi-tenancy
• API Access available
• Offers advanced online security
• Provide you low-cost
7
Disadvantage:

• Risk of data confidentiality

• Depends on internet connection
• The level of security
• Vulnerable in the event of an attack.
• Technical problem
• Low connection
8
How to works:
• The front end enables a user to access data stored in the cloud
using an internet browser or a cloud computing software.

9
Conclusion:
In conclusion, cloud computing is recently new technological
development that has the potential to have a great impact on the
world. It has many benefits that it provides to it users and
businesses. For example, some of the benefits that it provides to
businesses, is that it reduces operating cost by spending less on
maintenance and software upgrades and focus more on the
businesses it self. But there are other challenges the cloud
computing must overcome. People are very skeptical about
whether their data is secure and private. 10
