Bookkeeping is the activity or
occupation of keeping records of the
financial affairs of a business.
It shows whether the business is
profitable or not.
It was done manually with the aid of a
calculator.
Today we can use a spreadsheet.
What is Spreadsheet?
It is a software that can be
helpful in managing and
updating records such as
balance sheet and income
statement.
What is Balance Sheet?
It shows the financial position of
the business at a particular time.
It has two sections Assets and
Liabilities.
What is Income Statement?

It is a summary of all activities


involving income and expenses
incurred by the business during
a particular period of time.
What is Microsoft Excel?
It is an application software
used to organize data and
perform financial analysis.
It helps to do basic computation
