SPHEREx Successfully Passes Vibe Test
This picture shows the SPHEREx observatory being lifted and installed onto the vibration table, in the Z-axis configuration, at BAE Systems in Boulder CO in early August 2024. In this test, the observatory is subjected to vibrations in all three axes separately, to check the workmanship of the assembly and to help with the structural model correlation activities. The test was successfully completed August 16, 2024.
