Job Description & Qualification
Job Summary
The Department of Finance and Real Estate in the College of Business, the University of Texas at Arlington, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor position with a focus on banking, beginning Fall 2025. Applicants for the Full Professor position may be considered for an endowed chair.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities are conducting high quality academic research, conducting banking industry outreach, and managing a certificate/program in banking. Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in banking, finance, or real estate is also required. Applicants must be willing to support the department’s banking and other initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must have earned a doctorate in finance or a related field from an accredited (or equivalent) college or school by the date of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with strong research records and teaching experience in the relevant areas. Experience in developing or administering banking-focused courses, certificates, or degree programs would be helpful. Experience in industry outreach and/or network connections to relevant financial institutions will be considered favorably.

Department and College/School Information
The Department of Finance and Real Estate offers a wide range of courses in Finance and Real Estate for both graduate (Ph.D., MS in Quantitative Finance, MS in Real Estate, MBA, and Executive MBA programs) and undergraduate students. The department houses the Ryan-Reilly Center for Urban Land Utilization, has an active Personal Financial Education Program, and manages the state-of-the-art Sam Mahrouq Financial Markets Lab. It currently consists of thirteen full-time faculty, including nine tenured and tenure-track faculty. Faculty have diverse research interests and are active in conducting high impact research and publishing in premier research journals.
