Job Description: The Department of Finance in the Trulaske College of Business at the University of Missouri invites qualified applicants to apply for a non-tenure-track position starting 8/18/2025 or other mutually agreeable date at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor. The teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. The candidate will generally teach at the undergraduate level but may also include graduate level courses. Courses are typically on campus but may be conducted online. In addition to teaching, the candidate will be expected to actively participate in university service. There is an 80/20 split between teaching and service. This is strictly a teaching position with zero support for research.
Minimum qualifications:
• PhD in Finance from an AACSB accredited business program by the time of appointment.
• An extensive record of teaching excellence.
• A proven record of teaching online courses.
• The ability to develop online courses.
• The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to teach a wide variety of courses.

Candidates will be evaluated on:
• Commitment to excellence in teaching.
• Ability and willingness to teach an array of courses in Finance.
• Ability and willingness to develop online courses.
• Prior online teaching experience.

About the Organization

The Department: The Department of Finance has a current enrollment of about 500 junior and senior finance majors for the BS in Business Administration degree. The department participates in the MBA program, has an active PhD program, and an online M.S.–Finance Program.

The College: The Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business enrolls more than 4265 undergraduate students, 467 students at the master’s level, and 40 PhD students.
