After 1968 but before July, 1970, Benno Mattel (1917-2017), Buenos Aires, Argentina and, Montevideo, Uruguay [1]; sold to David Bernstein Fine Art, New York; 2010, sold to private collection, New York [2]; 2024, sold to Princeton University Art Museum.Notes: [1] The presence of the work in the Mattel collection between 1968 and 1970 is based on photographic evidence. Justin Kerr photographed highlights of the Mattel collection in 1968 but did not include this object, while photographs of the Mattel collection date-stamped July 1970 taken by David Bernstein illustrate this work.
