AI image and copyright concerns. What is this image? Is it a novel creation of AI? Or is it a use of AI to copyright-launder an existing photo of the named and identified subject?
If this is pure AI, then what use does it have here, especially within a WP article purporting to be an accurate representation of a specific person. In which case, does it meet SCOPE? It shouldn't be used on WP as it currently is, although one might still argue that 'generic images of monks' are still in scope for Commons.
Or is it, as I suspect, an accurate representation because it's derived without AI creativity from some uncredited photo. In which case it would fail for not being a clearly freely licensed image. Andy Dingley (talk) 21:39, 1 February 2024 (UTC)
Regular Delete or Speedy F3 - The watermark is for an AI enhancement service. Based on the description on that site, there has to be a source photo, and without the authorship/copyright status of that photo, we can't keep this derivative work.
