Description
English: The ayrshire cow is noted for its very high milking qualities. It's colour is generally red and white or sometimes brown and white. From "Brett's Colonists' Guide," p 34, a handbook of useful knowledge for European settlers in New Zealand, who were not used to southern hemisphere seasons and needed to learn a wide range of new farming skills.
