Sub wielding sorcerers and global bossmen Truth are back on DDD with the otherworldly mini-EP, Woden, one that is as powerful and devastating as it is mystical and ethereal.

Set for release the day of DDD’s groundbreaking takeover at Denver’s Mission Ballroom - across the three tracks, New Zealand’s bass wizards take you on a mythical journey from the sublime to the ridiculous - pushing the fabric of dubstep’s possibilities, before reality sets back in with a bang.

Working with long-time collaborator, Lelijveld, EP opener Empty is a sublime piece of melancholic beauty that doesn’t hold back when the drops flex - with stunning vocal refrains making way for savage synth lines across swung percussive patterns.

Next comes the eponymous Woden, the powerful norse god and ‘leader of the possessed’ associated with war, death and sorcery. Hellbent on soundsystem destruction, the swung wubs return with devastating effect to fire off at any being in range.

EP closer Narwhal is as cold as the toothed whale’s arctic ocean habitat - as delayed snares fire off like the disintegrating ice it passes as it migrates to warmer climes, with trippy arpeggios accompanying the threatening low frequencies.

Woden’s Day has a new date. 13th September.
