The Fojtik Henglein Prize, named after inventors Arnim Henglein[1] (Germany) and Anton Fojtik[2][3] (Germany, now Czech Republic), is an award given to scientists working in the fields of nanoparticles, nanomaterials and colloids, specifically the synthesis of such via lasers.[4]
The prize reflects the work of researchers in the field of nanoparticle and nanomaterial preparation using pulsed laser ablation in liquid, and is awarded biannually during the international conference on Advanced Nanoparticle Generation and Excitation by Lasers in Liquids (ANGEL) and rewards recently published research. Selection is performed by a jury on the basis of the accepted abstracts for an oral contribution to the ANGEL conference. The jury members are the chairs, the program committee members, and the international advisory board members.[citation needed] In June 2018 the Fojtik Henglein Prize was awarded to the first laureate.[5][6]
