The race was initially added to the series' schedule in 2020 after the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in the cancellation of the series' race at Eldora Speedway in Ohio.[1] It then replaced the fall race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway as an annual event.[2] The series has annually hosted a spring race since 2001 as well.
The races have had many different corporate sponsors over the years. As of 2024[update], it is known as the Kubota Tractor 200.
