General / Professional Info
edit
My name's Graham, and I'm an IT Manager from Cambridgeshire (UK) that divides work time between Database Administration, Web Application Development, and Network and Hardware Infrastructure Management (that and trying to fit as many buzzwords as possible into one sentence!).
Interests and Hobbies
edit
As hobbies, I am a big fan of mind sports in general, and chess and go in particular. I participate on a number of online servers in my limited spare time. I founded and wrote, and still help maintain, the turn based go server OGS.
You can find some of my open source projects at sourceforge:
- SBOMPS - Small Business Office Management and Processing System
- SBTM - Small Business Task Manager
- RDMS - Research Database Management System
- TMSF - Turn-Based Mind-Sports Server Framework
I also have a big interest in the current scientific debate on Wireless devices and health, including the heavy misinformation on both sides of the argument. As such, I spend a fair amount of time looking at scientific literature and working on the relevant pages.
Pages I am helping edit / contributing to
edit
Due to my interest in such topics, I'm involved in a number of pages that fit under the EMF / health umbrella. I attempt to maintain impartiality and am free from any financial conflict of interests, though for the sake of transparency you may be interested in the writings on my blog, with information of who I am and where I'm coming from, as well as my state of understanding and points of view on certain issues.
