Apologies
editSorry about the edit to the UP-W diagram last night. I honestly thought the St. Charles spur branched away before Geneva. Looks like the bridge I saw to the north (spanning the river) was actually a Great Western bridge. Hotdog with ketchup (talk) 14:53, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
- No worries! Lost on Belmont 3200N1000W (talk) 15:28, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
CTA Tower 18
editI was bored and decided to make a colored diagram of Tower 18 at Lake and Wells. It is in my sandbox. Let me know what you think of it. If you like it, I can make one for Tower 12. Hotdog with ketchup (talk) 01:31, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
- I think it looks pretty good! The only thing I'd personally change is making the curves smaller that way you can use circular curves for both tracks (e.g. uSTRl and ukSTR2, ukSTRl+4, etc.) Lost on Belmont 3200N1000W (talk) 17:21, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Lost on Belmont: I did initially try it at a smaller scale, but I stopped halfway through because it looked too cluttered. Also, the "k" curves overlapped at the opposite corners (ex. where the Pink Line exits the loop and the Purple Line enters) when in reality, they do not overlap, meaning Pink and Purple Line trains can travel through the junction at the same time without difficulties.
- I also tried a larger scale, but it looked too clumsy so I didn't bother to finish that edit. But regardless, your input is appreciated and I will get to work on Tower 12. Hotdog with ketchup (talk) 19:10, 13 November 2023 (UTC)

Aurora, Plainfield and Joliet Railroad Route Map Sources
editHey,
I've been looking into mapping the Aurora, Plainfield and Joliet Railroad. I've seen your route diagram and there aren't any sources listed on the wiki page or the template page for it. I was wondering where you got the information for the stops. I live in the area and have heard of most of the places except for Bells and Five Corners. So if you have the sources at all, linking them would be very much appreciated. MineBloxKy (talk) 23:45, 11 July 2024 (UTC)
- Unfortunately I don’t have the source handy. I believe it came out of Vol. 4 of Aurora–Elgin Area Streetcars & Interurbans by Hopkins Stolp Peffers, but I’m not 100% on that. Most of my information comes/came from my father’s railroad library, but I moved out of state several years ago and I don’t have the time or money to visit the house in the near future. I feel fairly certain that the information came out of a book, not a trade journal or historical magazine. Peffers seems most likely. Lost on Belmont 3200N1000W (talk) 03:10, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
