New ideas, July 2008

edit

This project page has the Inactive tag. I'd like to reactivate the project. A quick look at personal pages of just a few of the members indicates that some are active in Wikipedia.

During this month, I have massively edited one article about the Caucasus, Russian-Circassian_War, and significantly changed another, Muhajir_(Caucasus). That is how I came to be interested in the Caucasia project. I am surprised that the article list contains none focusing on specialties like history. So far, it seems, they're all general regional descriptions.

For the moment, I will take my discussions of the articles I've edited, and many of my ideas for this project, to the Russia and Russian History projects, just because they're more active. I hope to hear from some of the existing members here. Hurmata (talk) 22:56, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would be interested in getting involved in the project if it becomes active again. I'm particularly interested in language, culture and ethnicity in the Caucasus and Central Asia. In the past, I've focussed mainly on Turkey. Calypygian (talk) 01:59, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
