Thank you for reviewing my work and offering feedback. This is my first post and I am still trying to understand it all. If yourself or other editors are able to provide more hands on assistance, please direct my path. In the review you mentioned using credible media sources. I put a variety of newspaper and magazine articles as sources, is there a general rule around how many are needed or what the ratio should be? Socksoup (talk) 15:58, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Socksoup. My biggest issue with the draft is it is written in a slightly promotional tone. Phrases like:
- - who dedicated her life
- - Her academic journey continued
- - driven by a deep desire
- - dedicated to bringing yoga and meditation to inmates
- These are all phrases that are written in a non-neutral way: when writing for Wikipedia you must write neutrally in the Wikipedia voice; the only time non-neutral language can be used is if you're directly quoting from a reliable source (and if you are quoting, you need to show you are quoting.) sandbox review
Hello! Just wondering how I can share what I created in my sandbox for you to review...? Thank you again for your help! Staceyrich (talk) 19:59, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hia @Staceyrich - I am not seeing in your contribution history any sandboxes. Are you using a different account or are you logged out? If you haven't made the Sandbox yet, you can just share the URL with me directly once you have made a Sandbox. Qcne (talk) 09:17, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
The intent of this article is to give basic information about MAAsterG. There are a number of media articles, those published by the institutions visited by him, the URLs of which have been provided in this page. Can you guide me on where I am going wrong in drafting the language. The intent of this page is not to advertise or market MAAsterG, but make some basic information about him available to internet users. Thanks in advance for your help. ARGHJ (talk) 18:53, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
- @ARGHJ your draft is written in a promotional way, and the majority of the draft does not have any in-line citations. Please re-write to be neutral and provide in-line citations throughout to reliable, independent sources. Qcne (talk) 09:18, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for the quick response, Qcne. What does in-line citations mean? Does it mean that every sentence quoted on this page needs to have a cross reference of an independent source? ARGHJ (talk) 04:49, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- Indeed, @ARGHJ. For biographies it is mandatory that every statement must be backed up with a reliable published source. If the source does not exist then the information should be removed. The in-line citations are those little numbers in brackets, of which you have 9 of, but they are clustered at the end of two sentences. Qcne (talk) 08:24, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Qcne I have submitted an edit and adopted a formal tone for the draft, while writing the biography in a neutral tone as suggested by you. In-line citations referencing a newspaper link or external website link or YouTube link (for interviews) have been given for every reference to a statement. Additional citations have also been included totalling 20. Request you to review and let me know in case of any further issues in the edited page. Thanks again for your help ARGHJ (talk) 07:19, 25 September 2024 (UTC)

Draft:Selena Slamour
Hey there,
I submitted a draft for review which got declined, with the message that the "submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people)". The article showcases an interview from September 20, 2024 which aired live on the Kurdish Media Network Rudaw on national television. The link to the program's episode can be found on Rudaw's website https://www.rudaw.net/english/onair/tv/episodes/episode/diaspora---178/21092024115321 . I would like to know if there is a possibility for it to be published since it is a reliable source? Thank you. Letsrockthisthing123. (talk) 12:15, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Letsrockthisthing123.. The key thing is that the sources must be independent - an interview is not independent as it is the subject talking about themselves.
- We're looking for at least three independent reliable sources that provide significant in-depth coverage, that are not based on interviews, PR statements, from the subject's own website, etc. Qcne (talk) 12:18, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
My submission (Jim Rumph)
Hi there. You were helping me back in August, and then I think you went on vacation. Are you still able to help me? It was for my submission for Jim Rumph.
Thanks. Tallstop99 (talk) 14:54, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Tallstop99, sure thing- what further help would you like? Qcne (talk) 14:59, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks! I answered your questions here User talk:Qcne/Archives/2024/August in the "Review my submission please" and was wondering if you needed anything else from me. Tallstop99 (talk) 16:46, 24 September 2024 (UTC)
- Ah, sorry, I did indeed miss that notification. I think those sources would just about put us over the edge for notability. However- the draft will need a re-write before acceptance. If you let me know once you've re-written I can take another look. Qcne (talk) 19:10, 24 September 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for your feedback. I'll get it rewritten per your suggestion. Tallstop99 (talk) 13:08, 28 September 2024 (UTC)

Draft: Sarah Hester Ross
Hello! I have made the modifications we discussed on my draft: Draft:Sarah Hester Ross
I hope to improve even more - I'm trying to pin down the article in the Las Vegas Review-Journal where Sarah was named "Best Comedian."
Let me know if there is anything else you think I should do to improve the draft. Thank you so much.

- Hia @Tamariskie. I think this is borderline acceptable now - so will accept. It might face a deletion discussion by other members of Wikipedia - you'll be free to argue your case if that happens. Qcne (talk) 10:40, 24 September 2024 (UTC)

00:46, 29 September 2024 (UTC)Draft:Giovanni di Gherardo da Prato
I translated it from the main Italian article which didn't contained any sources (I also saw a Turkish article for the same person which was also created from the main Italian article in June 2024). I mean the draft I am creating is not a total copy-paste of translation but I edited it all around. Shashvat Verma (talk) 13:28, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Shashvat Verma ah okay, well we certainly need sources so I suggest you do some research into the figure - check your local library for books, journals, articles, etc. Qcne (talk) 13:30, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
- I found a source online on Oxford Reference but I don't have a subscription :(
- Maybe you know someone who has it... Shashvat Verma (talk) 14:06, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
- The Oxford Reference is available via Wikipedia:The Wikipedia Library, though I do not believe your account has enough edits to gain access. Check out the Resource Exchange on that same link. Qcne (talk) 15:41, 29 September 2024 (UTC)

Temporary insanity (album) question
Hello! I appreciate the feedback, as in it only helps me improve. I can assure you that my article was not created by an AI as in no AI's share the same knowledge as me on the album. If you have further questions, I don't mind at all to answer, thank you for the question. Focus.enterprise (talk) 18:08, 12 October 2024 (UTC)
