Most additions on Jewish community i have done, exhausted the sources and its WP:RS. Plus, a copy/paste in a Microsoft word doc shows the Kastoria page has 4,500 words. Word lengths on Featured articles on large cities like Hyderabad has 9,800 and Bristol 11,000. This article has heaps of room to expand.

The Jewish Encyclopedia article (WP:RS) on Kastoria cites the epidemic as a significant event, hence its inclusion - other articles on cities and towns include epidemics if they were significant. Also the hostage event regarding 70 Jews was not a mere event of many, but a significant one. You just included a sentence about Greek hostages. Makes no sense.
