Naming
[edit]So Canal Street is the only name for this station. The problem is that it's not the only Canal Street station. I'm not sure what to do here; maybe we could include Chinatown in the disambiguation? Or maybe use Canal Street (BMT-IRT)? --NE2 20:03, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
- Personally, I'd rather split the article up again. We don't use neighborhood names in the article titles, nor do we use division monikers without lines. Larry V (talk | e-mail) 20:27, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
- But why not? Probably because we don't have any comparable cases. I don't know about the IRT connection, but I'd assume that the BMT built this as a major transfer point with easy connections between the three lines. --NE2 20:40, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
- Look through the project talk archives. Plus, it doesn't look good; who really knows what the IND/BMT/IRT divisions are? Leave it at NYCS then; this is an extreme case. Larry V (talk | e-mail) 21:40, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:BMT Nassau Street Line platforms.jpg
[edit]Image:BMT Nassau Street Line platforms.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Track map
[edit]@Epicgenius: Could you possibly find a way to add the bellmouths at Canal to the track diagram? Thanks.--Kew Gardens 613 (talk) 19:59, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
- @Kew Gardens 613: Which bellmouths are you referring to? According to this map, the only bellmouths near a station at "Canal Street" are the IND Eighth Avenue Line bellmouths. I could be missing something though. epicgenius (talk) 20:02, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
- He doesn't list all bellmouths. There are bellmouths for a crosstown line along Canal Street. See here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvlyUdMii-A.--Kew Gardens 613 (talk) 20:10, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
