Lifeboat

[edit]

The article Lifeboat says: The first boat specialized as a lifeboat was tested on the River Tyne

Nirvana's last recording session

[edit]

Shouldn't it be noted that on this day in 1994? Nirvana had it's last recording session before Kurt Cobain's death. 220.233.7.176 (talk) 21:04, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 15:22, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
A band's last recording session is nowhere near important enough for a Day or Year article. Lkjhgfdsa 0 (talk) 07:10, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

1048

[edit]

This event (villagers in Baden-Baden defying the bishop) is not mentioned in the articles on Baden-Baden or Protestantism. A Google search of the teams yields only this Wikipedia page, the one on year 1048, and websites plagiarizing Wikipedia. Move to strike? TJSwoboda (talk) 00:12, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Removed as unsupported. Feel free to be bold and remove such entries. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 00:44, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I went ahead and removed the same reference on the 1048 page. TJSwoboda (talk) 19:53, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

1018

[edit]

'between Poland and Germany' seems a little vague, since Germany wasn't called that in those times. 'Holy Roman Empire' (as stated in the article) would be better, as it was the name of the realm back in the day. 195.37.186.20 (talk) 08:16, 28 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of entries

[edit]

In accordance with the guidelines, I've started weeding the Births and Deaths sections by removing entries for celebrities with 0-4 articles in other languages. Where possible, these have been transferred to the relevant Year in Topic articles. As well as making the lists more manageable, this will help with the globalization effort. NFCC violation

[edit]

The image must be changed or removed. It's nonfree, and even it were the only image available to illustrate any of the anniversaries, it would still fail NFCC#8. The Big Bad Wolfowitz (aka Hullaballoo). Treated like dirt by admins since 2006. (talk) 22:32, 29 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Charles I of England

[edit]

Charles I of England is only a saint in the Church of England. Perhaps other provinces of the Anglican Communion, but not in the Orthodox or RC churches. If there are no objections I will add "Church of England", as is done in many other cases. --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 13:46, 30 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

my mistake, some other provinces of the Anglican Communion (e.g. Canada) include him. --174.116.106.248 (talk) 00:05, 31 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 25 February 2019

[edit]

I am requesting the addition of Olivia Colman and Christian Bale on the Births list because they were both born on January 30th, 1974.

Partly done: Added them both, but I need a better source for Bale -- I can't find anywhere in the LA Times interview where it actually states Bale's birth year -- only that he has the same birthday as Dick Cheney. Could you provide another source with an explicit year? Roadguy2 (talk) 20:26, 25 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! Does this suffice as a source for Christian Bale's birthdate? https://www.britannica.com/biography/Christian-Bale — Preceding unsigned comment added by Petrlev3 (talkcontribs) 20:42, 25 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

 Done That works great. Roadguy2 (talk) 20:48, 25 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
