Splitting Quezon: remove?
[edit]While Quezon Province has been scheduled for a plebiscite, it seems that hasn't happened yet as there are no recent news reports about it. If it has, I think it the people there voted "no" to splitting the province, judging from my recent visit to Calauag almost two weeks ago in May. Is it time to remove the "Splitting Quezon" section, or just modify the section? - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 04:37, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- Republic Act 9495 now proves that the splitting of Quezon into two provinces are now official.... we should do something about this. Here is that act: [Republic Act 9495] Kendelarosa5357 (talk) 14:46, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Shopping Malls
[edit]Are shopping malls so important to the province that a simple list of malls deserves its own section? I don't think so. Dumping them below. --Mercurio (talk) 01:20, 8 April 2011 (UTC)

Quezon → Quezon (province) – "Quezon" alone is ambiguous. Both Quezon province and Manuel Luis Quezon have equal footing in primary topic hierarchy. "Quezon" is best used as a disambiguation page and this article be moved to "Quezon (province)". [Move request made via Twinkle.] JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 22:37, 9 April 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose second criteria of WP:PT. etc. In ictu oculi (talk) 08:01, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose, justified primary topic. 162 etc. (talk) 16:41, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose. I think this is already at the right title and Quezon (disambiguation) helps readers to go to the correct article should that be required. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 20:12, 11 April 2023 (UTC)
- Weak support as long as the DAB is moved here. The city has 34,543 views and Manuel L. Quezon has 20,072 compared with only 14,330[[1]] for the province. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:26, 14 April 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose. Suprisingly, from the 20k pageviews in March, a whole 191 went to the president, and too few for WikiNav to count to the disambiguation. {{ping|ClydeFranklin}} (t/c) 07:18, 16 April 2023 (UTC)
Tayabas
[edit]@Kali Igba could you provide examples that "Tayabas" is still used to refer to Quezon province in a modern context and not the city of Tayabas? Hariboneagle927 (talk) 12:19, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
