UDATE THE GRAPH!!
[edit]Why is it still on Jan 3? It's January 6th now!! Good grief!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 240D:1A:8AF:4D00:44C:7EB8:AF70:1624 (talk) 11:19, 6 January 2022 (UTC)
Data inconsistencies
[edit]Currently, after some IP edits, number of cases, bar widths and percentage increases do not agree with each other (see rows for 05-07 March). I tried to correct it and discovered that none of the data seems to agree with source stated in the footer (WHO situation reports), neither with WHO dashboard [1] nor with JHU dashboard's data [2]. So I'm leaving it unfixed. @Andrew20070223: you are the original author, how did you arrive at the numbers? Attomir (talk) 12:51, 8 March 2020 (UTC)
Data is off by a day
[edit]The data is off by a day. The first day with a death should be Feb 14th, not the 13th.
Similarly the last day (presently) shows as 3-27 but it coincided with data the WHO shows as from 3-28. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.135.81.85 (talk) 01:40, 29 March 2020 (UTC)
Recovered cases?
[edit]Why aren't recovered cases indicated as a segment of total cases, as on other countries' versions of this chart?
E.g. Template:2019–20 coronavirus pandemic data/Mainland China medical cases chart
Shouldn't they be? —WWoods (talk) 18:27, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
- Because the data is from the WHO which doesn't account for recoveries. It would be nice to include it though. Doesn't the Japanese government release such statistic? Alexiscoutinho (talk) 21:46, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
- Somebody does. The infobox says "Recovered 135". Hmm. —WWoods (talk) 00:46, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
[Of which, severe → moderate to moderate] 13(+1)
- So that seems correct. —WWoods (talk) 01:20, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
- From digging into https://www.mhlw.go.jp/stf/seisakunitsuite/bunya/0000121431_00086.html , the numbers of discharged are
Date : total (increment) = hospitalized patients + asymptomatic carriers 3/13 : 135 (+12) = 115 (+11) + 20 (+1) 3/12 : 123 (+5) = 104 (+5) + 19 (+0) 3/11 : 118 (+16) = 99 (+13) + 19 (+3) 3/10 : 102 (+1) = 86 (+0) + 16 (+1) 3/9 : 101 (+21) = 86 (+20) + 15 (+1) 3/8 : 80 (+4) = 66 (+4) + 14 (+0) 3/7 : 76 (+7) = 62 (+3) + 14 (+4) 3/6 : 69 (+20) = 59 (+20) + 10 (+0) 3/5 : 49 (+1) = 39 (+1) + 10 (+0) 3/4 : 48 (+2) = 38 (+1) + 10 (+1) 3/3 : 46 (+3) = 37 (+3) + 9 (+0) 3/2 : 43 (+1) = 34 (+0) + 9 (+1) 3/1 : 42 (+0) = 34 (+0) + 8 (+0) 2/29 : 42 (+1) = 34 (+) + 8 (+) [reconstructed from 2/28 and 3/1] 2/28 : 41 (+1) = 33 (+) + 8 (+0) 2/27 : 40 (+) = 32 (+) + 8 (+) 2/26 : 32 (+) = 28 (+) + 4 (+) 2/25 : 27 (+) = 23 (+) + 4 (+) 2/24 : 26 (+) = 23 (+) + 3 (+) 2/23 : 24 (+) = 21 (+) + 3 (+) 2/22 : 21 (+) = 21 (+) + (+) 2/21 : 20 (+) = 20 (+) + (+) 2/20 : 20 (+) = 20 (+) + (+)
- Great! So it seems like recoveries can be added after all. Alexiscoutinho (talk) 12:46, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
- By the way, if you are going to include recoveries, you have to update the chart sources (remove WHO) and change all other numbers. Alexiscoutinho (talk) 12:49, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
- I went back and added the recovered numbers based on the data from the Japan Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare reported numbers. The infected and deceased counts from the WHO reports match those of the JMHLW reports so I left that citation and added the JMHLW citation as well. krizoitz (talk) 1:17, 19 March 2020 (UTC)
WikiProject COVID-19
[edit]I've created WikiProject COVID-19 as a temporary or permanent WikiProject and invite editors to use this space for discussing ways to improve coverage of the ongoing 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic. Please bring your ideas to the project/talk page. Stay safe, --Another Believer (Talk) 18:07, 15 March 2020 (UTC)
Timezone?
[edit]What is the situation on the time zone for this template/data ? It's quite diffrent from ja:Template:2019-nCoV Data/日本の感染確認事例数の推移/図表. After February 14, the local time data, that is, the data as of 12:00 JST (3:00 UTC on the same day) is used. WHO (using CET) is also announced on the same date basis. UTC should be used on Enwiki for the time zone of the date in this case (even JST can be used, MOS:TIMEZONE), but UTC and JST are 9 hours apart and not straddle over the IDL, so there is no reason to shift by one day. In addition, some template/data in other nations are one day behind the WHO announcement (their time zones are from Europe to the Middle East), but its reason is unknown. (In Japan, the total up to 12 o'clock (JST) on that day is definitely used) --Kyuri1449 (talk) 00:48, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
